During her presidential campaign I had the opportunity to publicly ask Tulsi Gabbard a question. I asked her whether the U.S. should rethink its strategy and ally with Russia against China. She said “no” and was hostile to the idea and hostile towards Russia. That is why her Fox News interview with Tucker last night where she warned of the importance of avoiding nuclear war with Russia and calming tensions is so strikingly and alarming. I didn’t find Tulsi to be the brightest politician but I could tell from interacting with her in person that she is a rare politician that is sincere to what they believe. We overlook the tensions in Ukraine at our peril, especially if China and Russia ally together against us.

What also makes the situation so alarming is that it is taking place at the same time as attacks between Iran and Israel and an increasingly aggressive Chinese posture in Ladakh and the South China Sea and the Taiwan Strait.

I disagree. Just look at the DS MSM and ask yourself, why 5 years of painting Russia as the villain and praising china? Russia wants one oil pipeline to EU and China/Iran want another... It's been the main point of contention since the EU was formed. Who gets to sell oil to the EU?

No she’s not. Having listened and talked to her at length I think she is misguided, but she actually means well which is a rarity for a politician. I wouldn’t vote for her because I don’t think she’s bright enough, but she is sincere.
Honestly Crimea was one thing, port city/strategically very important, but the areas Russia is threatening right now I don't see a whole lot of point. I think Russia is testing a new administration, but it would still be risking war between nuclear powers. All Biden has to do is remind Russia of that, make them think we will go to war over Ukraine if we have to, and sell some weapons to Ukraine so Russia knows it will hurt.
If Biden fails an Putin does invade I think Joe will roll over and do some sanctions like Obama did.
I'm much more worried about Taiwan/Hong Kong. China recently took control of the south china sea under the Obama administration, just set and accord with Iran, and has been way more imperialistic with their silk road initiative. That and the US is so tied economically that we would guess twice as to have any real sanctions as retaliation.
