During her presidential campaign I had the opportunity to publicly ask Tulsi Gabbard a question. I asked her whether the U.S. should rethink its strategy and ally with Russia against China. She said “no” and was hostile to the idea and hostile towards Russia. That is why her Fox News interview with Tucker last night where she warned of the importance of avoiding nuclear war with Russia and calming tensions is so strikingly and alarming. I didn’t find Tulsi to be the brightest politician but I could tell from interacting with her in person that she is a rare politician that is sincere to what they believe. We overlook the tensions in Ukraine at our peril, especially if China and Russia ally together against us.
