Russia is not on our side, nor China's, they are on their own side.
The US MSM blames them because they are one of the last christian, mainly white-ish countries on earth that have a decent military and will to use it.
It's also a convenient excuse because Russia has a lot of nukes, and NATO and US spending would drop from conventional weapons makers (expensive) to more cyber focused weapons due to China/Russia, which the current admin will never do because China owns the asses of most politicians and CEOs.
Russia still has a lot of anti-american views, and they no longer view us as a Christian nation/similar goals.
Plus China has similar goals in terms of power and political systems, so as much as Russia would hate to partner with China, they would hate to partner with the US even more.

Unless China runs Russia like they do the United States, wouldn't they be an ally?
