Well, I don't remember ever agreeing to or voting on wanting to be a part of a "global community". I am sick of the propaganda pushed (and ALL sides do it) through NewSpeak.
That is one of the biggest reasons that spaces like this are important. They allow us to at least partially retain a mental image of the world as it should be so that we can set a course towards it.
