The argument is 'More black people get shot by cops.' No they don't.

Turns out more WHITE people get shot by cops every year.

The shift in rhetoric then goes 'Black people are disproportionately shot by cops.' Well you could argue this because it is factual, but then you have to throw in the fact that people of a certain persuasion commit a disproportionate amount of violent crimes that put them in a position to GET shot justifiably by police officers.

If you look at the statistics, EVERY group commits crimes in direct proportion to their population density. If you have a groups that makes up 60% of the population, they commit 60% of the crimes. If they make up 5%, they commit 5%. Only ONE group overachieves at violent crimes.

They next argument would be 'But cops shoot unarmed black men.' Yes, but unarmed does not equal not a threat to the officers life. They shoot about 200 a year. Only an officer in the heat of the moment has the right to judge the situation.

My next source argues that officers were called to non-violent situations that turned deadly. A non-violent situation can easily change direction even if an officer isn't there.

They bring up the fact that only 1% of police shootings had officers brought up on charges and half of these had video evidence. As if all should be brought up on charges.

They mentioned that in 444 cops related shootings, they were able to identify the officer and out of those 444, 14 had shootings that ended in a death and 5 had multiple prior shootings. Hardly an epidemic of police shootings. Hardly an excuse to think racism is involved.

They mention traffic stops as non-violent situations, but the fact is a traffic stop is one of them MOST dangerous situations an officer could be in. If the person they are pulling over has priors, drugs, guns, doing something illegal. It can turn south faster than a BLM erupts over a druggie overdosing while being detained.

They bring up race as often as possible, but never actually justify their mentality in the situation and just show the numbers as if they should be enough to make us gasp in horror. The fact is cops don't shoot people based on skin color, some people just behave in a way thay GETS them shot.

Notice how they talk about officer involved shootings, but never about what the person shot was doing before it.
