Amazon has a few advantages

  • Chinese slavery drives down prices
  • Amazon web services is very profitable

But if PillowMan can source American made items, I’ll shop there

43
arkylady 43 points ago +43 / -0

This! He may not ever be able to put a dent into Amazon, but there are plenty of us who would love an easy way to buy American made products or at least American companies importing and reselling products from other countries (other than China).

MAGAsJustBegun 5 points ago +5 / -0

Hey, I don't deal with Amazon, but like shopping online.

I've been boycotting them for years. Evil company. I'd love to see this actually be good!

A whole 3 cucks!

Thats like almost an actual person!

7
Chilen 7 points ago +7 / -0

It was probably the Hogg himself scouring the internet for stories and comments about himself to see if he's still relivent or if he needs to come out and do or say something else that is completely retarded.

10
randomusers239874 10 points ago +10 / -0

Yeah, but he's going to have difficulty because the engineering is the most important component, not the business. The older business types actually struggle with that part, and usually cheap out on it, which ends up causing them to fail.

13
Skippious 13 points ago +13 / -0

It's not just the software engineering of the site that make Amazon Amazon, it's more their distribution network.

Amazon has gotten the logistics figured out, so much so that that's what they're really selling. More than the cheap crap from China. They have it down so well, that second day delivery doesn't just cost them nothing over their normal delivery, it is their normal delivery time. If you don't have Prime, they will actually hold your package from shipping for a day or two longer, just so it doesn't arrive in two days.

And they got that down almost a decade ago. Now, they're able to get a lot of orders delivered the next day for no additional cost to them.

If you can't match the logistics, you're in an uphill battle. You can win over the people that put their conscience over having to wait a few extra days. But never underestimate the population's desire for quick gratification.

6
randomusers239874 6 points ago +6 / -0

Yes and no. Their logistics are so good because of the engineering; they are not independent. For example, predicting the optimal place to store certain goods based on user behavior is a software engineering problem. Modern logistics is all done with software; the physical components aren't really relevant as space is pretty cheap overall.

5
Skippious 5 points ago +5 / -0

Apparently, my first sentence wasn't clear enough.

It's not just the software engineering of the site that make Amazon Amazon, it's more their distribution network.

Meant to convey that the software engineering wasn't just behind the site, but also behind their distribution network.

2
randomusers239874 2 points ago +2 / -0

Oh sorry, the way that it was phrased made it seem like you meant they were independent. But yeah, agreed.

1
20Amma20 1 point ago +1 / -0

Here in the 808 even WITH Amazon Prime packages take 7 days or more and are often late. If Mike can fix that problem he's got a new population of buyers. Maybe get a distribution center in the 808.

4
20Amma20 4 points ago +4 / -0

We lost Bed, Bath & Beyond, Pier 1, Sears, Kmart, and more in the 808 during COVID. We need more places to shop. Help us, Mike!

6
BasedMedicalDoctor 6 points ago +7 / -1

We have some based software developers here right? Maybe they can apply

3
contribulation 3 points ago +3 / -0

The problems arn't with the engineers, they're with the management role structures, and heavy reliance on consultants and contractors.

Look to the VC funded tech startups of the last 20 years for good examples and large consulting firms for poor examples.

You can have rock star engineers, but if you don't have a proper leadership role structures and boundaries on leadership's authority to prevent micro management, you'll drive away your talent and suffocate what's left of it.

2
Harambe 2 points ago +2 / -0

I don't have a problem like that at my company. Modern companies don't have to suck

2
DontArkancideMeBro 2 points ago +2 / -0

As it turns out, Experience in biting pillows is not the same as selling pillows.

Im_too_BASED 112 points ago +115 / -3

This could devestate Amazon...

Think about how many patriots are dying for an alternative. I know I am!

53
OhioRock3 53 points ago +53 / -0

Exactly! I'll support him on day one

15
RankAndFile 15 points ago +15 / -0

I cancelled prime and will spend half a day finding anywhere else to buy what I need. I'm sure it will suck but maybe it will suck less than Bezos and his shadow empire.

8
Tallsie 8 points ago +8 / -0

You should still use amazon to search. Once you find something you like, follow the merchants link back to their website and buy from them directly.

23
ThisTrainHasNoBrakes 23 points ago +23 / -0

Folks just need to remember that it cannot and will not rival Amazon on day 1. You need to be willing to spend a little more for a while.

9
Harambe 9 points ago +9 / -0

I'll pay more. I won't deal with lack of selection. Mr Lindell needs a huge warehouse

5
ThisTrainHasNoBrakes 5 points ago +5 / -0

Me too for sure.

In general I won’t boycott a group to go to another woke company. What’s the point?

But I will pay double to support good people.

3
67Vert 3 points ago +3 / -0

And no way can he provide all the products/brands. Many won’t sell on his platform. But I will certainly support and buy from Lindell. My wife has been doing less shopping because she doesn’t like giving our money to woke corporations. This might not be good for my bank account. LOL

3
Im_too_BASED 3 points ago +3 / -0

Worth it. Fuck, make it premium ONLY.

4
dianabrown1 4 points ago +4 / -0

PizzaDecorations 2 points ago +2 / -0

I'm usually more optimistic, but I think you are correct. Amazon may take a hit, but they certainly won't be dethroned.

2
contribulation 2 points ago +2 / -0

It can if Mike's production selection starts with vendors who are ostracized, or who have higher margin / premium products.

57
19American62Woman 57 points ago +57 / -0

I hope so! I’ve been praying for Amazon to get knocked down

18
Im_too_BASED 18 points ago +18 / -0

When I look at Jeff Bezos, I imagine him in a black cloak, holding a dagger over a child.

12
Imransgarage 12 points ago +12 / -0

Hopefully they make a Kindle replacement app. Load that place up with eBooks, Amazon makes ridiculous money for no work there.

2
RussianAgent13 2 points ago +2 / -0

Need an equivalent alternative to audible too.

2
tiwal 2 points ago +2 / -0

It has a pre-launch site on mypillow rn.

33
mushroomhead 33 points ago +33 / -0

I was wishing someone would hope it works... He should be worth 100 billion not Jeff

31
Chongald_Xrump 31 points ago +31 / -0

Thank you Mike! This will be tough business. Walmart.com already undercuts Amazon on everything they sell, but if you focus on American made (or just Never China!) products I'm in!!!

17
ProfessorOak 17 points ago +17 / -0

I think focusing on USA products is how he could beat the snot out of them. It would be hard to beat amazon at their own game since it's rigged in their favor. But if he makes it easy to search and buy US made products I think he could garner an audience of his own while also slowly leaching Amazon customers as his site gains traction.

9
arkylady 9 points ago +9 / -0

Since not everything is made in America these days, I'm fine with buying from American companies who are importing products from other countries, just not China.

8
MAGAMoose 8 points ago +8 / -0

I would be happy to start with never China products.

Also note each item that is 100% USA Manufactured.

That would be awesome.

31
Notme 31 points ago +31 / -0

He will take on Facebook next. The website will be known as MySpace.

5
raytwentynine 5 points ago +5 / -0

Tom has entered the chat..

22
PraiseBeToScience 22 points ago +22 / -0

There is a vacuum in that industry. Amazon started off as a great storefront for small businesses. It was like Etsy but for actual companies.

Then China moved in and forced everyone and everything out. Nearly every product on Amazon is a Chinese knockoff. If you search for something like "permanent match", you'll see ten different "stores" all named something like nonsense like

Laicengo
BIASTNR
CADIAL
AIKENR
Yusud
PPFISH
XIFEI

These are real 'companies' I just pulled off of Amazon. They're usually all-caps and are always gibberish 'words'.

And the products they're selling are identical to each other, with just a different name etched on it. You can go onto Alibaba and find the exact same product sold for $0.25 apiece by the literal fuckin' thousands.

21
REDMARAUDER 21 points ago +21 / -0

Hell yes! This is awesome.

9
TheBeardsman 9 points ago +9 / -0

TAKE MY MONEY!

9
SteveHuffmansTeeth 9 points ago +9 / -0

Fucking Amazon cucks sold out to China, every piece of shit thing on there is absolute garbage, eagerly awaiting Mike's website

9

Oh hell yes PLEASE Mike. Crush Amazon.

This is the way

8

Mike, I'm in.

8
DestroyingAngel 8 points ago +14 / -6

MyStore is a weak ass name. Get me in contact with Mike he needs to call it Manifest, short for Manifest Destiny. Also no Chinese shit should be sold on there. American products only on Manifest.

6
Harambe 6 points ago +6 / -0

Nah

7
raskolnikov88 7 points ago +7 / -0

I would use mystore for everything possible. No reason to keep feeding the swamp.

6
Julius_Severus 6 points ago +6 / -0

I'll be patronizing that company

6
LaredoTornado 6 points ago +6 / -0

It would be awesome if all the blacklisted authors were able to sell their books and merchandise on his platform!

5
0815 5 points ago +5 / -0

The big issue a lot of american companies have right now is magnitude of scale. A lot of these companies offer great products, but these products are produced in relatively small numbers and are therefore expensive. Only takes a year or two until the chinese copy the product and they are able to sell it for 1/2 or less. That means they produce it for 1/4" of the price. One part is labor cost, but another is material cost. Smaller companies will never get the huge quantity discount larger producers will get. If the article is mass produced, domestic production is often only 10-15% more expensive for the end consumer. But the wealth produced stays much more distributed and will create far more wealth by increasing the frequency of money changing hands.

5
Forgotmypass666 5 points ago +5 / -0

I would support this. Hands down. I am sick of Amazon and love capitalist competition.

5
kilkidd 5 points ago +5 / -0

bruh, this is gonna be big

5
mrgreencard 5 points ago +5 / -0

Shut up and take my money!

5
PodunkTexas 5 points ago +5 / -0

I'd shop his site if for only the reason that it isn't Amazon. Don't mind paying more for American made products.

5
TrumpTrain425 5 points ago +5 / -0

AWESOME! I've been looking for a non-cucked way to sell my products online.

5
DZP1 5 points ago +5 / -0

I would shop. We NEED an alternate infrastructure. Commerce, communication, media. But we have a huge catchup to do.

4
TrumpsThrowaway 4 points ago +4 / -0

73+ Million ready to spend money at his stores!

4
Chilen 4 points ago +4 / -0

This is actually some of the best news I've heard in a long time. Honestly. This is awesome!!!

Even if the prices are a little higher at the start, I'll gladly shop there instead of Amazon.

Mr Lindell.....Please stock your store with lots of Cat Food!

4
newuser999 4 points ago +4 / -0

We really fucking need this. Overstock sucks balls and Amazon isn't an option at all.

4

3
SakaSouffle 3 points ago +3 / -0

YAAASS!

3

I’m all onboard! I just can’t be a infomercial store. He’s gotta hit it hard like amazon. I know he can do it!

3
DaveMastor 3 points ago +3 / -0

Also....

FFFFFFFFFFFFffffffffffffffffuck Newsmax - notice how loaded the last few paragraphs of that article are? They've been (or always were) completely cucked.

3
CrossTheRubiconTrump 3 points ago +4 / -1

Have you been to the My pillow website. I wouldn't anticipate any website he makes to stick.

2
Slick_Willys_Willy 2 points ago +2 / -0

We need to reach out

0
CrossTheRubiconTrump 0 points ago +0 / -0

This is a simple forum. Stores like amazon are much more difficult. Lidels website is a relic from the 90's.

3
Harambe 3 points ago +3 / -0

Some of us work on incredibly complicated software for our day jobs that make a simple store look like child's play.

2
Slick_Willys_Willy 2 points ago +2 / -0

Yeah it needs to be a powerful web application.

2
BananaWizard 2 points ago +2 / -0

I'm sure he has a guy on it. He's not making the website. All you have to do is copy Amazon's design.

3
emjayt 3 points ago +3 / -0

Uh, no that’s not “all you have to do”. Just a tad more difficult.

1
CrossTheRubiconTrump 1 point ago +1 / -0

Setting up a proper SQL server is a shit ton of work for the sheer quantity of information collected on a social media site.

3
Witchstone 3 points ago +3 / -0

Shut up and take my money!

3
Orion101 3 points ago +3 / -0

This is the way, we need a based and redpilled alternative to Amazon.

3

fuck yes. take my money.

3
GodDamnedEngineer 3 points ago +3 / -0

YES YES YES YES!!!!!

I CANT WAIT TO DITCH AMAZON!

3
CdnMAGA 3 points ago +3 / -0

I am going to buy stuff at that store even if I don’t need it. The symbolic fuck you to the left when this store becomes successful will be worth it for me.

3
Thebillster 3 points ago +3 / -0

We need this as fast as possible, along with patriot banks, tech and media.

3
splink 3 points ago +3 / -0

YES PLEASE

3
MacManus 3 points ago +3 / -0

If it’s not full of Chinese crap (like Amazon) I’ll be shopping there for sure!

Mike, please include the product’s country of origin/manufacture

2
