The sad truth is that even Trump-supporting conservatives often believe this stuff. I can't tell you how many times I've had to explain to Trump-supporting conservatives that the fire extinguisher attack was a lie for example. Or that the other three deaths were confirmed medical cases. Every time I explain to a conservative how peaceful what I saw on Jan 6 was, they seem shocked. When are conservatives going to realize that the media lies?
The portion of the people who entered the Capitol was a riot, let's not kid ourselves. It wasn't an insurrection, it wasn't a threat to democracy and it wasn't wrong either. But it certainly wasn't just a peaceful demonstration from those people.
