Seriously, i try to help the poor when i can, but so many of them come off as horribly entitled. A lot of times, they aren't even poor due to any real reason, except for complete abject stupidity. The types who spend all their money in one day, dont think before they speak, intentionally put themselves in supremely terrible situations, knowingly hang out with high risk individuals. If these people just learned some basic patience and manners, and actually got a job, most wouldnt be that poor anymore.

That is not to say some poor people aren't poor due to tragedy, but most, if not a majority, can easily get out of their hole, ESPECIALLY the blacks, and women. The entire world caters to you, and yet you're still too stupid and incapable to get a leg up, like how much MORE help can one give these people before they throw up the table and just say screw it

That's the end of my rant.

It’s a technology centric cause and effect. People are used to NOW, they never interact with their neighbors, they’re connected to so much media that media can tell them what to think. That same media also makes a terrible role model

The poor will always be poor. Give 2 men each a million dollars. One will invest it and spend wisely and never need to work again in his life. The other will piss it away and be broke within the year.

I read a theory somewhere that if you took all the wealth in the world and divided it up evenly within a short time the former poor would be poor again and the former wealthy would be wealthy again.

That is also correct.

Because our society enables them. I was sitting in a restaurant and I overheard a "homeless" woman telling another when and where to go everyday to get all the gibs. She was using vouchers one shelter handed out to cover her meal.

Most beggars aren't even poor. They are entrepreneurs. Lol

Because people use to have to feel humility when asking for help. Now since the government is expected to take care of them we call them entitlements.

Don't give money to panhandlers and beggars. It is rewarding bad behavior and encourages them to stay in your area and beg rather than move on to some other place and/or get a job.
