This has been a result of the slippery slope from advocated and admonished yearly flu shots and a health care system that will vaccinate hospitalized clients without consent. They used to so it to my mom every time she landed in the hospital they'd hit her with an unwanted flu shot and pnuemo vaccine even though they'd been told repeatedly by her that she did not want one. Once she entered the rest home, even though she had complete mental agility, she was treated as a vulnerable individual without wits.
