Women can’t be rational decisions in seconds. It’s why they shouldn’t be on the front lines either call me sexist but that’s just pointing out differences between men and women
Once a society transitions to agriculture, the toughness of a society softens. Especially the women. Americans typically don't make little girls hunt from the age of 5. The closet thing we have are women that grow up in the country or on a ranch, but even those cowgirls can't solo hunt a bear like a Mongol mom of the middle ages.
It's the WW1 trench problem. Charge into no man's land or be shot for desertion. If drafted, less than 5% of women in a settled society have the temperament to charge into battle, and less than 5% have the strength to keep up. Soooooo 1 in 400 women could theoretically provide the Joan de Arc effect. The rest are a liability
Training can't fix stupid. When instructors aren't allowed to washout people who demonstrably cannot hack it, this is what you get.
No amount of training will make the wrong person for the job, the right person for the job. To blame training is a copout. Dunning kruger effect on display (she didn't have enough sense to self select out) and no one wanted to be the jerk who suggests a career change. She was likely exempt from washing out, and pressure was exerted to ensure she passed everything with flying colors, at least on paper.
She likely got all the training and extra guidance her department could spare trying to polish that turd. But alas, no avail.
This, in my profession we call it “getting it”. It’s hard to explain what “it” is but some people just seem to get it and some don’t. It’s why some people basically quit after a year because they have no advancement potential and others are pulling $200k within a few years.
In a lot of professions, no amount of training can make the person in that role do an excellent job if they just aren’t fit for the job.
Seems to me that if you sufficiently practice drawing both regularly, and mentally preparing for various scenarios, your muscle memory will go to the correct tool for your intended purpose. Insufficient practice leads to fuckups when in a stressful situation.
And that situation wasn't even very stressful. Imagine if Duante had drawn a firearm and had been shooting at them (extremely stressful). Which tool might she have drawn? Would she have actually done anything useful?
I wonder how she is on the range. Somewhere between slow and useless, I'll bet.
no fucking clue. hell, i call tell when any on my hand guns don't have a magazine in the well. how the fuck could this bitch not tell the difference in the feel of a pistol and a taser?
I do not like clown world anymore. HOW DO YOU MANAGE TO MIX THESE TWO UP LIKE THAT?
Women, amarite
As a woman, I don’t want a lady cop to be the one who “defends me”
Bitches can’t even tell guns from tasers, apparently 🙃
Your name says you’re from Virginia, but your emoji tells me you are from Australia 🤔
In Virginia we appropriate Australian physics from time to time
You should be the one who defends you. As a rule I don't trust anyone in a tense situation with a gun except myself.... Not even police

Well never see another Joan the arc. Women are too busy telling themselves they make .73 to a dollar every man makes
They are stored on completely different sides of their body.
Reminds me of times when the wife navigates.
"Turn right."
"There is no right. That's left."
"I meant left. Why are you so bossy?"
Bingo prize for that one :D
Bad training.

Totally agree.
There are levels of functionally stupid that no training will ever overcome.

Or lack of.
