OK, serious question.

Any fat people out there?

I don't mean mildly overweight, borderline obese.

I mean "butt in the front", "my knee caps are 6 inches deep", "I can hid an entire Big Mac in my fat folds" fat.

How do you get like that?

I mean, when I put on a few pounds, I feel terrible. Nothing to do with my body image, when I have to huff up a few stairs, I go, "Something is wrong" and I correct the situation.

How do you let it go so far? Are you basically dead inside? Do you just not care and would rather eat donuts and feel sick all the time?

She is surrounded by other women who look like her in a "community" that pretends obesity is a body type. And now there are women her size in ads modeling yoga pants. In her mind, she's a queen.

Ive seen it happen after some sort of trauma. Usually progressing slowly. I see people who are in good shape and then lose a loved one or get really sick and then stop going to the gym. Eventually depression takes over and they lose all motivation. It’s actually kind of sad to see. I’ve also seen friends who enter a new stage of life and just don’t know how to stay healthy. I remember showing up to a baby shower to see friends I hadn’t seen for two years and they’re literally twice the size I last saw them. Seeing that scared me. My wife and I signed up for personal training at a really good gym days later. I want someone who will chew me out if I slack off and don’t show up.

I've had friends get big then get fit.

I've never had one just blow up.

I made a friend with a grossly obese fat person. He lost 200 pounds in the first month of our friendship.

Must be pretty depressing to try to kill yourself by stuffing your face with donuts.

Last time I got super depressed and tried to subsist on donuts I lost a ton of weight, though, Felt like I was going to die, but I lost weight.

I don't get it.

Yikes! A donut diet probably doesn't give your body enough protein to make use of the fats and carbs.

I wish my friends knew that getting fit isn't as difficult as it looks. Albeit, I've never been overweight by more than 10-15 pounds. I see people at the gym starting at 50-70lbs overweight and, within a year, they're looking great. You'd think they were fit their whole lives. 45-60 minutes a day, 5 days a week will give great results and huge transformations within a year. The key is not going so hard at the gym that you burn out in a month or can't get out of bed the next day. Most of the time I'm at the gym, I leave 25% in the tank so I can lift well the next day. Once every month or two I'll go 100% so I can track my max progress. The biggest mistake my friends make is thinking they have to go 100% every time and then they get burned out.

Your probably just weren't eating enough. If you don't eat many calories, you can eat terrible food and not gain weight.

Yeah, this. 1 donut a day is not enough to sustain life.
