INTEGRITY is the foundation on which TRUST can grow and flourish.
DECEPTION is the weapon which destroys all TRUST.
GREED is the sin which feeds and drives DECEPTION.
There are too few examples of individuals, groups, and institutions with verifiable integrity in which to place our trust in this time ruled by greed and deception. This must change if we are to survive. Good people of strong moral character must rise to meet this challenge.
Ronald Reagan once said we must "trust but verify". What he meant was, you must verify the "integrity" of the thing you want to "trust". In this case, he was referring to the integrity of Russians abiding by nuclear disarmament treaties. He told us we must trust them to do the right thing, but we must inspect or verify their "integrity" to act or perform in the manner which they agreed to with respect to the treaty.
Integrity should be verified before trust is placed. This is why we have the better business bureau. So we can inspect the integrity of companies before we buy from them.
We need mechanisms to verify the integrity of our elected officials, and institutions. These mechanisms do not exist in a meaningful or usable way for the average person. In the absence of these mechanisms, deception has flourished driven by greed.
Life is full of examples of this concept proving true. Step on a log crossing a creek without verifying the integrity of the log, and see what happens. You'll likely get wet real quick. Why not look the log over first and see that the underside it rotten?
Elect a (rotten log) "greedy individual" to any "office" and you will get soaked. It matters not what the "office" is.
Allow a (rotten log) "greedy company" to set up in your community and you will get soaked.
Permit (rotten logs) "bad cops" on your police force and you will get soaked.
Hire a (rotten log) "shitty contractor" to fix your house and you will get soaked.
When the hair on the back of your neck sticks straight out, your soul is telling you to inspect the integrity of the thing you are dealing with before you place your trust in it. This is gods gift to us. But we do not listen. Instead we blindly trust and then we get soaked every time.
God gives us the tools, but we do not use them because deception has blinded us to the truth regarding trust.
Anyone who says "trust me" without offering verifiable proof of integrity is trying to deceive you.
My President, Donald J. Trump has offered us verifiable proof of his integrity time and time again. Trust him I do, blindly not. Verify his integrity I will, by his own actions.
