That swordsman dude was super pissed off with this scene. He was a pretty famous sword guy IIRC and thought it would be an epic sword battle scene, not one where his specialty basically gets shit on.
Harrison Ford was suffering from dysentery at the time and asked they rewrite the scene so he could get back to shitting his brains out. Notice he is absolutely drenched in sweat, he was running a fever and was in rough shape.

He had food poisoning while filming a movie IN THE DESERT. if you haven't been to a desert, Ford's drenched shirt is just par for the course.
