I've dropped several long-term relationships. They are just crappy human beings at this point and it's been cathartic to erase their toxicity from my life.
My only regret is one of them is my Sister, but she's so far gone that further conversation can only hurt the chances for an eventual reclamation project.
On January 6th I called one of my [formerly] closest friends, a frat brother and old roommate, and told him that I was in DC... he immediately started with the TeeVee talking points and grilling me about being "a terrorist". Haven't talked to that saltly cunt since.
