Chauvin's defense team has begun its case today. They played a bodycam video of a 2019 arrest of George Floyd that showed Floyd ingested drugs when he was arrested. The inference is that he did the same thing in 2020 and OD'd.

He also overdosed in March 2020 and was hospitalized for five days. This came out in the prosecution's case in testimony by George Floyd's girlfriend "momma."
