Imagine this doofus walking into your local gun dealer / shop, bellying up to the counter, and saying in his most gender-free soyboy voice -- "I'm here to buy some 'extras.'"
Even without the philosophy there's just so much they didn't get right in the Atlas Shrugged movies. In fact, they did almost everything poorly. Poor casting, inexplicable directorial changes, the works.
Stuff that didn't really come down to a low budget, just felt like negligence that could have been avoided.
The only book to movie that the movie did better is arguably Fight Club to which Chuck Palahnik (who wrote both the book and the screen play) himself said was.more proud of the screenplay then he was the book.
"Dune" is another good example. There's so much in the book, a faithful movie would be hours long, unwatchable for the typical movie goer. But the abridgement needed to make a watchable movie leaves out so much it frustrates the typical reader.
I'm afraid there are books that just can't be made into a decent movie with any real fidelity to the book.
That is where shows should come in. A better format for entertainment in my opinion. Especially without commercials or confinement to half hour time slots.
It amazes me that producers haven't realized that when people are binge watching episodes on streaming services, you can have episodes be different lengths.
what I find even more infuriating is that he still has the fucking nerve to say : Stop being a fucking dumbass. asking to stop. and also calling the resonable man a dumbass.
According to cops, if you loan something than legally it is no longer yours.
Like if you loan a lawnmower and the neighbor decides to keep it.
The cops say that a crime requires action and intent.. and that since they didn't take it, you 'gave it to them' and they consider it theirs, there is no crime.
Warn all your friends that the cops think this way.
That is not "the cops" thinking, that is one flavor of criminal philosophy. But not all judges think that way and there is still a difference between the so-called dolus malus ("hard" intent) and simply blame.
If you know that lending firearms is a crime and/or you know that your neighbor specifically didn't pass the background checks, you start to take some responsibility for whatever happens.
Imma drag Chipman into Judge Judy’s small claims court saying I bought my AR pistol in good faith and he’s trying to extort me $200 or he will steal it from me.
I don't know. I talk like that to those morons all the time. I always remind them of who they are in all discussion. And I think if all people were like me on this they wouldn't have been so rampant and they would think many many times before acting and talking stupid.
Just a lil ironic that not only is this guy nonchalantly asking for guns over text he also marches in anti gun rallies to wit our hero owns him w the counter. Seems a wee bit manufactured
background checks are not instant. Even before the plandemic, it could take hours to go through. Took about 30-40 minutes for one for me. During the plandemic, it took days. Idk about now, it's probably back to normal.
"Hi, I hate guns and think the numerous restrictions on them are not enough; also, can I borrow one of yours so I can go around all these numerous restrictions, an action I would find morally reprehensible, 'dangerous,' and legally prosecutable if anyone else did it?"
It varies wildly from what I understand. I'm in a Constitutional Carry state, so I don't have a CCL. My two background checks each took about 15 minutes apiece.
Preppers are some of the most chill people I've ever had the pleasure of working for. It seemed so silly when the tv shows first started getting popular, but they weren't fighting over TP at the wal mart looking even sillier lol.
"I'll do you a solid. I'll post your address on Craigslist thst you're looking forva firearm to borrow, since you don't have one. Maybe a good samaritan will pop over with a loaner."
Haha similar situation with me. I told them I can't just lend you my gun, are you crazy that's a felony. Go out and buy your own gun. 30 day wait period oh shit you didn't tell them about the gun show loophole?
If I sold guns, I wouldn't sell to anyone who voted for someone who pushes unconstitutional gun legislation (which is any legislation that restricts citizens from owning and operating)
This reminds me why I stopped talking to my sister, We met for breakfast one morning and she told me she was on her way to a anti-gun rally in San Francisco.
She sent me pictures later of her at the protest holding a sign which was specifically about red flag laws.
Well maybe she will understand when she is being raped that it is just the sexual preference of the person doing it. She wouldn't want to be a bigot and unarmed...
"You still have extras"...
"Extras"
"EXTRAS"
LMAO.
WTF is an extra gun? Is that like the uncredited ones they use in the movie films?
Maybe so...
My brain couldn't process labeling multiple firearms "extras".
Same reaction...as if they are Halloween candy to be passed out
You get a highpoint. And you get a highpoint. Everybody gets a highpoint!
Mosin crates are for handing out.
Holdon where can I get mine?
Big5... 8 Years ago.
Now they cost too much to be worth it. Get a AK or SKS.
Found Raz from CHAZ.
That's because they have zero knowledge of firearms, their value, how to use them, or why we need them.
I wouldn't give them a "spare" firearm, anyway, for fear they'd do something stupid and it would come back on me.
From you according to your ability; to me according to my need ;-)
There are no extras. Only a diverse cast of guns. They’re all different and all needed for representation!
^^THIS^^THIS^^
Like children
Imagine this doofus walking into your local gun dealer / shop, bellying up to the counter, and saying in his most gender-free soyboy voice -- "I'm here to buy some 'extras.'"
I keep thinking of that jingle for that inane show "Extra".
Extras. Ha ha ha
I can't stop laughing. This is the funniest thing I've seen/read in months.
Yup. Your comment triggered an extra round.
lol, if in a blue state tell them it’s illegal to loan a gun, lots of blue states have these kinds of b.s. laws
That's not very fair lol
Under HR1, you’d end up in jail for loaning the gun. And when they end up killing themselves playing around with it, you’d be tried for murder.
i could not loan one in washington state but i could give it to him pending a FFL background check of course
"Your extras." Like your extra money. Since you have more than one dollar, I'm entitled to what I need out of your "extras."
Typical entitled lefty mentality.
Good point
there are no extras... all of my guns identify as beanie babies.
i'm sure BLM rioters would love to snuggle up to Fluffernuggins, my 6.5 creedmoor little baby.
New York Reload
Reminds me of a coworker's response when people would ask him if he had an 'extra' cigarette. checks pack "nope, they didn't give me any extras".
I’m stealing this.
jogger /s
Hahaha
Was searching for this exact comment
Two is one. One is none.
Kind of like data backups.
And right now, no gun is anything, because there is no ammo.
And the boating accident.
It's like having too much money.
Got any of that extra money for me bruh?
The thought process of a sniveling communist.
“You can vote your way into Socialism and instability, but history proves you have to shoot your way out.” - some wise person somewhere.
Possibly the based Ayn Rand.
I only watched the movie, but damn Atlas Shrugged is good.
The movies are horrible. They don't do the book justice by a long shot.
Like every book to movie adaptation.
But especially something like Atlas Shrugged, where so much is about philosophical discussion.
You can download a free epub of Atlas Shrugged on line.
You do realize that is the point right?
What is the point?
LOTR may be the exception.
The only book to movie that the movie did better is arguably Fight Club to which Chuck Palahnik (who wrote both the book and the screen play) himself said was.more proud of the screenplay then he was the book.
With One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest a possible exception

That would trip me up, but I understand the artistic utility.
There was a 4-part SciFi channel special for Dune back in early 2000s. It was also pretty crap.
If you don't want to read one of the longest books in the world, check out the audiobook version. It's a long one but the narrator is great.
I'm sure they don't, but I still enjoyed them.
what I find even more infuriating is that he still has the fucking nerve to say : Stop being a fucking dumbass. asking to stop. and also calling the resonable man a dumbass.
Like who should stop? and who is the dumbass?!!!
What annoys me is he thinks borrowing a gun is something you ask somebody over text message instead of face to face. The naivete is stunning!
And I can guarantee that if he was allowed to "borrow" it, he would never give it back.
Also thanks to the gun laws he advocates for, loaning someone a firearm is a crime.
maybe he is trying to entrap him!
This was my thought - no fucking way would I loan a nut job leftie a gun
He’d probably post a picture on social media with the serial numbers and say “see how easy it was for me to bypass background check”
I thought the exact same thing. Sounded sketchy.
That’s savage if so
Or discharge it accidentally wounding or killing himself or somebody close by to him.
Stop talking me into loaning him one
That's mean. Heheh....
Lol 🤣🤣🤣

I wonder what judge Judy says
Brilliant!
Imma drag Chipman into Judge Judy’s small claims court saying I bought my AR pistol in good faith and he’s trying to extort me $200 or he will steal it from me.
Now do homes.
Funny how you can go from “the current laws aren’t restrictive enough” to “fuck the current laws, I need one now.”
Yeah, an angry soy-boy - it's kind of raises a red flag!
it's too perfect... so i'm going to say
fake
nah if the guy just went through one he'd know that it's a "waiting period" not a background check.
background checks are instant
and the proper response to someone asking for a gun isn't "lol i would but you blablablad before..."
its "why would you think other people would just GIVE you a gun, retard"
I don't know. I talk like that to those morons all the time. I always remind them of who they are in all discussion. And I think if all people were like me on this they wouldn't have been so rampant and they would think many many times before acting and talking stupid.
Just a lil ironic that not only is this guy nonchalantly asking for guns over text he also marches in anti gun rallies to wit our hero owns him w the counter. Seems a wee bit manufactured
Its more of the, you got any of them extra guns comment.
Not even a liberal would say that. Sounds made up.
background checks are not instant. Even before the plandemic, it could take hours to go through. Took about 30-40 minutes for one for me. During the plandemic, it took days. Idk about now, it's probably back to normal.
My friend is not a felon but has a VERY common name and was born and raised in a very felonious area. It was a 3 hour wait. We got pizza.
Happy ending: and after the wait he got his first gun. 😃
Same and same, i get delayed at least a day every time
💯
Yeah definite larp
Even if this isn't real... I can still appreciate the humor in this.
"Hi, I hate guns and think the numerous restrictions on them are not enough; also, can I borrow one of yours so I can go around all these numerous restrictions, an action I would find morally reprehensible, 'dangerous,' and legally prosecutable if anyone else did it?"
Its different for them cuz they're special.
"Stop being a fucking dumbass" says the person who begs for their rights to be stripped by their government.
"Not enough time."
I'm sure that's the reason. My background checks don't usually take more than 30 minutes.
Eh, some states have unnecessary and arbitrary 8-day waiting periods too.
Sucks for people that live in those shitholes. They should move
would be classic if this leftist failed his bg check
Or 72 hours if you don't have a CCL.
It varies wildly from what I understand. I'm in a Constitutional Carry state, so I don't have a CCL. My two background checks each took about 15 minutes apiece.
"Yeah but what's happening now wasn't happening back then!"
Preppers always get the last laugh.
Just like the so-called conspiracy theorists.
**Alex Jones has barreled into the chat
Preppers are some of the most chill people I've ever had the pleasure of working for. It seemed so silly when the tv shows first started getting popular, but they weren't fighting over TP at the wal mart looking even sillier lol.
If you let this moron borrow your gun, he'd hurt himself with it or shoot a family member. Then you'd get sued.
I posted it almost a year ago. Good find, OP. I almost forgot about it.
https://patriots.win/p/FzBGfQqX/lmao/c/
I hope not, it's a timeless and funny convo
1 day old account btw.
Sorry the same laws you supported also say I can't allow you to borrow my weapons without a background check.
And he called you the dumbass xD
The last reply should be; "You first, you fucking dumbass."
Taunting antis is a good way to get red flagged. Just tell him you sold most of them, or offer to sell him one legally.
"I'll do you a solid. I'll post your address on Craigslist thst you're looking forva firearm to borrow, since you don't have one. Maybe a good samaritan will pop over with a loaner."
Extras?? Extras?? We don't buy no stinkin' extras-- we buy the number we WANT
So you need guns for protection, from peacefull protest? Soon its gona be so shit around, that even lefties will notice.
Fake
Why whenever I see these.. they remind me of a creative writing class
My husband was asked by his uncle that lives in nyc. He said the same- you have an extra, let me borrow it.
We all laughed and laughed. Lol gonna remind him again tonight to have another laugh.
All the blue fag B had to say was "yeah... boy, I was wrong. I get it now"
Use a rape whistle, or just fart. You'll be fine.
Sounds like entrapment to me. Abort!
'Throw away your fire extinguisher', omegalol.
Seems fake
I’ve had this conversation, it was pretty much the same.
Haha similar situation with me. I told them I can't just lend you my gun, are you crazy that's a felony. Go out and buy your own gun. 30 day wait period oh shit you didn't tell them about the gun show loophole?
What a fucking idiot lol.
If I sold guns, I wouldn't sell to anyone who voted for someone who pushes unconstitutional gun legislation (which is any legislation that restricts citizens from owning and operating)
Don’t know about locality, but isn’t it illegal in some places to loan a gun?
I'd rather be a law breaker than a dead law abider.
judged by 12 vs carried by 6
And this idiot isnt even learning the hard way. He's literally just gonna die purposefully stupid.
This reminds me why I stopped talking to my sister, We met for breakfast one morning and she told me she was on her way to a anti-gun rally in San Francisco.
She sent me pictures later of her at the protest holding a sign which was specifically about red flag laws.
"Not fair:" I'm not getting my way.
Extra guns are like spare change
They don’t exist
I’ve just money and guns
“ Stop being a fucking dumbass”
-A Dumbass
There is no such thing as “extra” guns.
Fake and gay- but true
I’m not given a gun to a liberal without a background check
If this is real (which I doubt) they might be trying to incriminate you. Never get these sorts of things in writing.
Also if they've expressed anti-gun sentiment before and now they're interested in you breaking laws, they're probably Stasi.
That conversation went on too long. "Eat a Dick, Asshole" is all that needs to be said.
Like it's a fucking video game where I can just drop you a gun from my inventory, no problem.
Let them get hurt. They’ll tell their family and friends they should’ve had a firearm but were a dumbass.
Elections have consequences....
I would have added that loaning a gun to someone would be considered illegal in this situation so no, get your own gun.
Yea Let me give you a $1000 handgun or $3000 rifle. KEK
I demand the rest of this conversation!
Your neighbor is asking you to break the law.
That happened
"Stop being a fucking dumbass," said the grasshopper to the ant.
Well maybe she will understand when she is being raped that it is just the sexual preference of the person doing it. She wouldn't want to be a bigot and unarmed...
The really funny part is, they probably live in a state where it is illegal for the neighbor to loan out any gun anyway.
