Work at a texas grocery store called HEB, told I still have to wear this fucking rag on my face. Wish more customers would stop wearing masks too, all these masks are driving me fucking insane I wish it would end.
But I still got bills to pay sadly.

Make a complaint to OSHA. The oxygen level in any mask dies not comply with OSHA standards. There was a YT (sorry) video of a firefighter taking an oxygen test meter and putting it under his nose inside the mask. He tried several different masks - ALL of them set off the low oxygen alarm. Masks should be illegal.
They should be, but OSHA doesn't give a shit about safety if a Demonrat is killing you.

Biden admin told OSHA to look into the PPE requirements when he took office, but they've been oddly silent . . . guessing the results didn't lead to more masks and government control.

Do you have to wear a HEB-issued mask? If not, tons of people on Etsy sell masks made out of cheesecloth. Totally breathable, but in solid colors they look legit.
My job requires them but we all just stopped giving a shit anymore, even the CEO.
A cashier at grocery store near me wear a mask- that is made of mesh - but spray painted so you can’t really tell unless you look close. If I had to wear one for extended times I would make this Good luck. Hang in there
I've started leaving 1 star reviews on businesses in Texas which "Require" the use of a mask. In the review I say I'm messing a 1 star because they require masks and I'll change it to a 5 star when they stop requiring the use of masks.
I also mark other reviews informing me of the same as useful. My community has started to follow suit. No stores have changed their mask stance yet but it is being noticed.
Make your mask a conversation piece, perhaps a red pill.. People's reactions might be just what you need to carry through your day. Plus, its a great way to meet people when you "roll your sleeves up" like that..
Like a butcher wearing a mask that says "ASK ME ABOUT MY MEAT." Something that has that same funny or positive effect...
I feel the same way...hard to believe our society has become so meek and afraid...our forefathers would be embarrassed. I guess you could try and look for a different job, but I don't know what the job market is like near you.

I don't think the masks are a huge deal -- I honestly do like the anonymity I get when going outside thanks to them. But I remove them first chance I get, especially if I realize the guy in the store doesn't care.
Inflammation caused by mouth bacteria can kill you, but I guess you're not a huge deal.
