I'm in central PA. So not even near the big dem strongholds like Philly or Pittsburgh and there is something simmering underneath. But I am usually the only one not wearing a mask in stores, literally can't get served at a restaurant without wearing the mask in, and everyone seems to be scurrying for the prick. And the state government at the top at least is as blue as it gets. They r pushing this shit hard and it looks like they will keep doubling down.
I do not know anything about PA. Is Schuylkill County considered central?
I was there this past weekend, and most people were not wearing masks, at least in the places I visited. The staff at the restaurant I visited all wore masks, but at the dollar store, the checkout girl was not and most customers were not. At the beer store, nobody was wearing a mask, including cashier. At the gas station near the interstate, the cashier was not and most customers were not. And at the offroad park, nobody but nobody was wearing one.
Even at my hotel, the staff were either not wearing them, or wearing them perfunctorily (tucked under their chin, etc). Some hotel patrons wore them, but I did not and several other people at breakfast did not either, and nobody said anything to me.
I am definitely not arguing with you, pede, as I said I do not know anything about PA. I am only relating my very limited experience. If you want a breath of fresh air (literally), gas up the 4x4 and head to Rausch Creek! :-)
Schuylkill county is probably one of the better places. The heart of the coal regions. A lot of working class tough people up that way who I could see resisting some of this stuff. But I am in the Harrisburg area, things r not good here.
What part of PA? I'm looking to move to the Chester County area, and don't like hearing that 😒
