I don't think so, but might be wrong. Image editing back in the late 1930's and early 1940's was FAR more labor intensive then digital video editing today. Doctoring photos was certainly possible, but it was much easier to simply take pictures of actors or new arrivals than take pictures of starving people and edit the pictures.
i'm not excusing the nazis or japanese fuckers but those 'starving prisoners' were a result of our bombing campaigns against the germans and the japanese in the philippines. i mean think about it logically. if the germans had starved these prisoners for at least 2 years they would have died long, long ago. the food emergency only started around february 1945. within 3 weeks all of these poor prisoners and even the german soldiers ended up like that unless they were SS or had a general who hoarded a lot of food for their garrison. that was when our forces came upon the german concentration camps. and in the philippines...i mean, come on...if the japanese wanted to starve our soldiers to death in luzon, philippines they would have been dead like since june or july 1942. it was almost 3 years later when they were liberated. the food problem again didn't become an issue until right before the luzon landings in january 1945. the japanese were starving all over the pacific. that was how effective our air force and navy was in WWII.

However, there are thousands of pre-food-shortage eyewitness accounts of prisoners being worked like slaves and fed far less than what they needed to stay healthy. Both the Germans and the Japanese did it. The Russians did as well, with their German captives.
The prisoners in question were being intentionally held right at the edge, where they could still work, but most did not have enough energy to seriously consider escape or resistance.

Useing an add blocker when you go to pages of companies you don't like doesn't effect that companies bottom line. They get add revenue based on the pages traffic, not weather or not you watched or looked at an add. If yoh use an add blocker they will still see that you went to the site and assume you saw the adds, and still get paid for your traffic.
The only thing that using the blocker does is keep you from being annoyed of yoh are annoyed by adds.

I remember seeing "The Killing Fields" back in 1984. In no small way it changed my life. I remember thinking 'This was going on while I was growing up?' Somehow the fact that this genocide happened while I was going to Jr. High school (and I was blissfully unaware of it at the time!) impacted me in a big way. Yes I knew about the Holocaust, but that was in the past, black and white pictures, before I was born. This happened during my lifetime. It really shook me and made me realize that this type of thing could happen anytime and anywhere. I vowed to pay attention from then on. Unfortunately, it has happened again and again since then.

This is a quality shop job. This took a lot of time to do. It’s very, very insidious. I use photoshop for a living, I can’t imagine doing this. It’s a lot more disturbing than you might think.
