This is so f'd up. I have a thick skin but my wife survived the Khmer jungle. Her mom gave her last bit of gold to a corrupt doctor (also prisoner) to save her younger sister by giving her a salt iv drip that didn't work. She died as a small toddler. My wife and her mom and older sister were lucky to survive. NO ONE WAS SMILING! God I wish these writers could spend some time as a POW.
