The good thing about our jury selection is that both the prosecution and the defense get to bounce a number of potential jurors from being on the panel. Hopefully, the defense got a few solid jurors on there who will do their jobs without political concerns or prejudice of any kind. Those folks are out there, it's just a matter of identifying them among a jury pool.
Given the possibility of the jury voting to convict on ground of fear or determination to convict regardless of evidence, even a hung jury might be a comparative win.
Should he be acquitted? Absolutely. Will he be? Probably not.
