Planning to take the kids to Philly for the weekend (Center City) - to visit the zoo and Independence Hall. Is it safe? I see that the "mostly peaceful protests" started up again tonight.

ha I mean, are we going to be shot at in broad daylight? I used to live in Baltimore - is it Baltimore bad?
My missus is from Baltimore... on the Baltimore scale it ranks a solid 7.5/10. At the moment I have no idea how much peaceful looting and burning is going down. The irony of seeing Independence hall in an urban warzone is not lost on me but the local fuzz understand that as the based Johnny Rotten said "Tourists are money".
My best guess is that if you stick to early morning hours and get the hell out of town before dark you'll be fine.
