But why are the cops harassing random motorists for minor traffic violations anyway?

Why is an air freshener a valid pretext for a stop?

I've gotten to the point where I just don't care what happens to any of these idiots. Scumbag gets shot by cops? Deserved it. Cops get fucked up by BLM? Deserved it. Blue cities burn because they lack the moral fiber to stand up to the mob? Deserved it.
