JD Vance in Ohio is an example of a guy who is a snake in the grass. The GOP is promoting him, but he’s avowedly anti-MAGA from his previous statements. He is simply good at acting like he isn’t.
Pay attention to the people who aren’t getting promoted instead. If the RNC establishment doesn’t like a candidate, you should immediately research them.
Look at Marjorie Taylor Greene. Fox News would never give her an interview but she’s one of the most vocal, strongest members of Congress we have right now.
Catalina Lauf (running against Kinzinger) is getting promoted by Fox and the RNC. Look at the volume and where her donations are coming from.
These 2 things tell me she is not the candidate y’all want her to be. The grassroots, humble campaign is more likely than not the one you should vote for. The less corporate influence in the campaign, the better the candidate
Beware the bright and shiny object. If it's coming from the GOP Its a bright and shiny object. How do you think magicians Mesmerize audiences?
They’re actors. They give a nice speech, say some platitudes, and they’re good to go.
You don’t even need a platform to win over voters in either party. If you’re a Democrat you give an impassioned talk about “racial justice/equity” and if you’re a Republican you say “I believe in freedom” and most idiots will lap it up.
Find a decent actor, supress the dirty details about their life even a little bit, bankroll their campaign, and boom you’ve got a winner
There’s another dude in IL running against Lauf in the Primary, not sure his name.
He’s probably the guy we need then
