I like these verses

30 Lot and his two daughters left Zoar and settled in the mountains, for he was afraid to stay in Zoar. He and his two daughters lived in a cave. 31 One day the older daughter said to the younger, โ€œOur father is old, and there is no man around here to give us childrenโ€”as is the custom all over the earth. 32 Letโ€™s get our father to drink wine and then sleep with him and preserve our family line through our father.โ€

33 That night they got their father to drink wine, and the older daughter went in and slept with him. He was not aware of it when she lay down or when she got up.

34 The next day the older daughter said to the younger, โ€œLast night I slept with my father. Letโ€™s get him to drink wine again tonight, and you go in and sleep with him so we can preserve our family line through our father.โ€ 35 So they got their father to drink wine that night also, and the younger daughter went in and slept with him. Again he was not aware of it when she lay down or when she got up.

36 So both of Lotโ€™s daughters became pregnant by their father. 37 The older daughter had a son, and she named him Moab[g]; he is the father of the Moabites of today. 38 The younger daughter also had a son, and she named him Ben-Ammi[h]; he is the father of the Ammonites[i] of today.

It's like an awful incest hentai or something

The Bible is full of people who make good & bad choices, because that's what us humans do throughout history. It wouldn't be accurate for it to only show the good side or only the bad of people.

I personally like these two articles on that particular situation.

Wow, a bunch of inferences. You'd think an all-knowing god would understand human nature better, such that he'd state everything unambiguously. Hey, why would he support animal sacrifice too? Just because he likes the smell of burnt organs?

You are to wash the internal organs and the legs with water, and the priest is to burn all of it on the altar. It is a burnt offering, a food offering, an aroma pleasing to the Lord.

Primitive people struggled like you can't imagine. Ceremonial sacrifices taught them that life was precious. It served as a reminder to have faith by giving up something valuable to atone for their flaws.

It certainly seems strange now, but Jesus fulfilled the old laws perfectly. All he asks is that we accept the Almighty as the one true ruler and love one another.
