When God spoke through Jeremiah, He said that He would not deliver the Israelites from the Babylonians because their sins were overwhelming. He said that it was better that some die by the sword than live under their false idols. So he said that everyone gets to choose: die by the sword, die by pestilence, or live in slavery. But it is said in another place that those who die by the sword are blessed over those who die from famine.

Remember that if our day comes and we must choose our fate, that God's plan is not our own. We submit to him alone.

Until that day, we must at the very least arm our fellow citizens with the Word and to prepare them to discard their false idols. Those of us who would rather die by the sword, should learn to use the sword to protect the weak from abuse. But also realize that we should perhaps be prepared to cast off our Earthly nationality. Our eternal President is Jesus, and we temporarily reside under the Earthly government that is not our home but our temporary residence. We should protect the righteous, but should not blindly follow any flag nor idol.

Yep. That pretty much sums it up..which is why I always say "..God willing..".and "..God so help me..", we certainly will not go anywhere good if He isn't with us. Idols are a curse, I always worry about the hidden idols of the heart, but I'm confident the Lord will help, even if it hurts...🐸🇺🇸
