Those are tiny gains. The biggest one is with Asians, and he still only got 34% of their votes. He simped pretty hard for blacks and Hispanics to get these meager gains, too.

It blew me away because the media acts like no one would dare vote for him and obviously people are.

Also, it is momentum. He increased the black vote by 50%. If he did another 50% in four more years, it would be 18%. Democrats can't win with that high of a black vote for Republicans.

You're ignoring the cost of that. Trump constantly bragged about black unemployment being low (has he ever even mentioned white people at all in his public life?) and let a bunch of violent blacks out of prison and wanted to give them a ton of gibs. That's bad policy and barely moved the needle. Also, there are more whites than any of these other groups so that 4% increase in black votes is smaller than a 4% increase in white votes.

There were also a lot of unregistered white voters without college degrees in states like Wisconsin that his campaign could have attempted to mobilize. That was one of his strongest demographics.
