This is a sad situation. My guess is she's been sitting behind a desk for a decade or so and, due to the loss of funds and collegues quitting, she was out in the field without any type of retraining. Mistakes happen, but those tasers are yellow and fairly hard to not identify it as a taser, not a gun. She's toast and can kiss her pension (and safety and possibly her freedom) good-bye. He didn't deserve to die for fleeing an outstanding warrant charge. Do we know what the outstanding warrant was for?
