Can someone recommend a good Bible (publisher/edition/translation)? I grew up without any exposure to it. Looking for something at least somewhat scholarly and accurate (translation-wise) but hopefully still readable. Happy to search out older printings as we.

I like New Living Translation. It’s used widely in most Protestant churches

Second this. I love my NLT study Bible from Tyndale House Publishers, for sitting down and reading. I also participate in a daily Bible reading plan (with 5 other frens) via the YouVersion Bible app. For that I listen to the Dramatized NIV on BibleGateway. I also listen to a daily commentary on books of the Bible called Bible Recap that helps explain what I just listened to that morning. All the best, pede.
