I think it has way more to do with the people behind it all and their motivations.
Russia is mostly independent despite not being what they once were super power wise. Communism almost destroyed that... that's why they got attacked by the global cabal in the 1910's before us. We are the new independent nation that must bow to globalism. China is already under than foot. So of course Russia will stay the "bad" guys while we are programed to ignore china which has it's own interested and being happily used as a puppet to destroy all independence left in the world.
