20
Populist_Leader 20 points ago +21 / -1

I also think state legislatures should make rules for federal candidates/reps/senators that they aren’t allowed to accept donations from anyone other than direct constituents.

South Carolina’s elections shouldn’t be influenced by companies headquartered in California

11
Steven_IDGAF_Miller 11 points ago +12 / -1

This is one of the keys. Stop politicians from pandering to corporations and big money donators from everywhere except where they represent. Big Tech money should not be influencing politicians/elections in Nebraska, Iowa and Arkansas.

5
Populist_Leader 5 points ago +5 / -0

You’ll never get the federal level to pass it for themselves. It’d only work if the state level passed it for federal level positions and local level passed it for state positions. Then you’d pass it at a local level through a citizen vote at a town meeting

3
BloodyWolf 3 points ago +4 / -1

On the other hand, these people are famous frauds. They'd probably funnel money to locals, and then have them donate.

1
LadyPedette 1 point ago +1 / -0

I think Veritas showed that in Illhan Omar's district last summer, no?

1
LadyPedette 1 point ago +1 / -0

What type of shill would downvote politicians NOT taking corporate donations? 🤔hmm...Very strange indeed.

3
3-10 3 points ago +4 / -1

The best way to do it is repeal the 17th Amendment. Don’t do what your state wants, they recall you and put someone in that will.

4
giantrabbit1 [S] 4 points ago +4 / -0

That would likely just increase the RINO problem. Politicians in the state legislatures would just appoint their crony RINO friends, just like Kemp appointed Loeffler instead of Doug Collins.

4
3-10 4 points ago +4 / -0

It’s the legislature and not the governor. I’m not saying it is perfect, but state legislatures are more conservative than any other branch of government from state or National branches.

4
Dictator_Bob 4 points ago +4 / -0

I like direct elections however I agree on the recall and would reconsider direct elections if local administration wasn't such a shit show.

2
LadyPedette 2 points ago +2 / -0

16
Formerlurker92 16 points ago +17 / -1

Well when you think about who makes the law it makes sense

11
julianleroux 11 points ago +12 / -1

Start with a comprehensive, concrete pledge that that all Republicans must sign if they want to win their primary - pretty much saying that they will vote NO on everything except bills that repeal former bills.

11
War_Hamster 11 points ago +11 / -0

We've talked about a MAGA Pledge on here before. Absent an enforcement mechanism, it's not very effective, but it might help out the Precinct Project.

10
julianleroux 10 points ago +10 / -0

It's a whole lot better than nothing. It reduces politicians' ability to vote against their supporters' interests, and then claim innocence / good intentions afterwards (i.e. commit fraud).

Republican voters give their representatives far too much leeway in how they vote once elected. They spew vague bullshit and bromides because primary voters tolerate it.

Also it serves as a way for Republican voters to actually come to a consensus on what they actually want. There is far too much disagreement and ignorance, even on this forum, about what policies and laws should be supported.

9
War_Hamster 9 points ago +9 / -0

I'm working with some of the grass roots groups on their messaging. It is indeed hard to find consensus on all of the policies, so you keep it simple; just a few universal principles, but it's still a challenge.

For example; I won't support anyone who doesn't support the reduction of the Federal Gov't's power. Not many candidates for national office will be willing to sign that.

6
BloodyWolf 6 points ago +6 / -0

Commendations to you, fren. Few people actually get involved. You're part of the future solution.

1
LadyPedette 1 point ago +1 / -0

u/War_Hamster I see your posts here daily. Can't say I'd disagree with any of your stances. I've been trying to get involved locally as much as possible. It is hard in a Wolf dictated, liberal Hell hole like PA. Is there any links or references you could kindly point me towards to further help and delve into these grass root groups? I'd appreciate it. You seem to be one of the most pro active users here. I can respect that.

1
War_Hamster 1 point ago +1 / -0

Hello LadyPedette, thanks for the kind words.

I've got a buddy in PA, but it's too late to call him.

You responded earlier about the Precinct Project post, and that's a good group.

I'm also just starting to get involved with this very well-organized group: https://conventionofstates.com

The Constitutional Sheriff group is one I'm just getting acquainted with, but they are also doing good and important things.

My best advice to get involved locally, though, is to just show up at protests or meetings locally. You'll meet wonderful people and you'll figure out which groups' energy and goals match your own.

1
War_Hamster 1 point ago +1 / -0

Additional thought; take your time and feel out any group. Talk to both the leaders and the casual members. There are always grifters, and all of these groups want money and/or cheap labor. Look for well organized groups that focus on education and not fundraising.

5
11Bignveiny 5 points ago +5 / -0

Absent an enforcement mechanism

Im wondering if it’s possible to make a MAGA Pledge a type of legal contract? Candidates running for office are essentially promising a service in exchange for a political position

If we can’t recall the potential RINO expeditiously, then maybe lawfare will get their attention

3
Idontevenknow 3 points ago +3 / -0

Breach of Contract does seem like a practical and relatively simple method to get what we think we are getting.

1
War_Hamster 1 point ago +1 / -0

It's tricky, because we are supposed to be electing people who we think will represent their districts the best to make their own decisions on issues. Otherwise, we're a direct democracy and not a representative government.

The key here is to use a Pledge as a litmus test that also allows them some independence. Things like not taking lobbyist money could be in there, but nothing too policy specific.

The real solution is to have an engaged voting population and transparency. That should take care of most vetting needs, but we don't have either just yet.

2
LadyPedette 2 points ago +2 / -0

u/War_Hamster ....Precinct Peoject" ??? I was unaware. Thank you for sharing , am doing my research now.

1
War_Hamster 1 point ago +1 / -0

Good luck. I've spoken with them, but in CA the rules are a bit different so there's not much we can do here.

Watch out for RINO's, but it looks like we're making good progress in a lot of places.

7
ArcOfAmbition 7 points ago +7 / -0

They need to be proposing legislation that supports populism. Voting yes on bad policy from a Koch SuperPAC is no longer acceptable. We want more legislation to clean up DC and no $$$ going overseas or to corporate mob and establishment.

4
julianleroux 4 points ago +4 / -0

100%, but the base needs to get organized enough to craft that legislation down to the letter, otherwise it will be done by said Koch SuperPAC

2
ArcOfAmbition 2 points ago +2 / -0

We have new SuperPACs. K-street is where they need to be. I believe we will have 4 total maybe 5 focused on America First/MAGA policy. We need to donate to them.

4
MeatShield72 4 points ago +5 / -1

Depends on the situation and if I am willing to have to put someone's face through a window...

Chiropractors office, violin lessons, main common area of the mall. No mask.

Church...unfortunately my church is very liberal in terms of people attending and the conservatives their wont stand by me and say "well our population is very old at church it is the least we can do."

Grocery store...well that is one of those cases where I almost had to knock out some illegal mexican for bitching about "one way isles" so I just slap it on so I can get in and out.

Movie theater...comes right off in the theater and doesn't go back on.

Gym, well they wanted me to wear it for a 3 foot walk into and out of the building....INTO AND OUT OF THE BUILDING WAS WHEN THEY WANTED ME TO WEAR IT...havent been their since January and have been doing everything at home.

6
NotAPuma 6 points ago +6 / -0

Gyms are overpriced. I find doing Yard and Lumber Work Healthier and more Productive.

5
MeatShield72 5 points ago +5 / -0

Well, get me a yard hahaha. I pay $20 a month for my gym

I live alone, in a one bedroom apartment. I have been doing everything at home in my limited space....really need more space for pullups

3
bratt 3 points ago +3 / -0

As a carpenter I find lumber work expensive and overpriced.

4
daveywavey86 4 points ago +4 / -0

if your church is very liberal, leave it.

if god is omnipotent, you shouldnt have to go to his house every sunday to worship him. and if you feel as though you must, go to a church that understands that God is above the law. if God created everything on this planet (including viruses), and we cannot change our fate as God wills it, then we are helpless as to what happens to us. if we were meant to die from this, we were meant to go. do you dare question God?

2
MeatShield72 2 points ago +2 / -0

Ya know, I've been saying us pedes need operatives to go run as Dems to see what they're doing. Can't believe no one hasn't yet 😕 Maybe then we would have had hard proof of the coup, the ACTUAL insurrection & fraud.

Now, I know being around slimy nasty demonrats is not ideal and also to stoop low enough and the embarrassment to potentially be considered associated with them, even if it is for a greater cause. It must be done.

10
ArcOfAmbition 10 points ago +11 / -1

That's bullshit. How do you think Radicals took over the DNC without replacing every establishment politician? They created SuperPACs and had 1st wave of targets to replace in the primary. Once AOC beat out a 30 year vet in the establishment the 2nd wave targets were notified. They aligned quickly. There is power in influence.

2
LadyPedette 2 points ago +2 / -0

u/ArcofAmbition 👆This is 100% correct, fren. Exactly what they did. For those that want to know more check out "Mr. Regan" on YT (idk if he's on Rumble) he has a video about AOC being installed by her handlers in the Justice Democrats! Very interesting rabbit hole.

0% between now and 2022. From then on, probably 75% if we regain the House.

55

0% then even if we get all the house seats. Only 10-15% of house repugs have balls

1990s Republicans, whom had far fewer balls than today, were able to impeach Clinton.

2
BadManOrange 2 points ago +2 / -0

It's a hard sell to convict the president for lying about receiving oral sex from his intern. If they had nailed Clinton for all the other BS that he did behind closed doors, it'd be a different story.

Additionally, Clinton had a very high popularity rating at the time. Putting aside guilt, it's just as hard of a sell as the Dems trying to impeach Trump knowing how popular he really was.

7
Libertas_Vel_Mors 7 points ago +7 / -0

Impeach, sure - they can do that easily.

Remove from office with 65+ Senate votes? Sheyah, not happening, even if the GOP held 100% of the Senate seats.

5

Political theater. The repubs knew Clinton wouldn't be convicted in the Senate. Same reason all the repubs voted to dismantle Obamacare...before they had the power to do so. Then when they received the power, they didn't do shit.

The repubs had full power of the United States government only a few short years ago. THEY DID NOTHING. They couldn't even get a border wall passed.

You should give up and join ANTIFA. Radicals took over the DNC, we can take over GOP. Once you take out 2 big names in primaries the rest align quickly. Having new SuperPACs promoting populism and America focused policy helps big time.

6
ravioli_king 6 points ago +6 / -0

Being real here, probably won't happen until at least 2022. GOP just doesn't have the numbers. You'd think Democrats want Biden out for Kamala, but I think they know "Joe is normalcy, so let's cram crazy bills and laws." While Kamala is a person who didn't survive the first primary. As soon as Joe is gone, the normies will wake up.

In all seriousness, I'd rather have Joe than Kamala, simply because Kamala's voting record in the Senate, she didn't bend, bargain, or negotiate at all. That seems like a bad thing to me. I'm sure the left felt the same way with Trump and Pence, they'd rather have Trump in than Pence.

5
Meddlesom 5 points ago +6 / -1

I still say they'll get Biden out after his 2nd year so that Kamala can take over for the remainder of his term without it counting as a full term, so that she can then get two full terms herself. A full decade of the Bitch Whore of Babylon as POTUS.

1
IG_Farben 1 point ago +1 / -0

Your premise is insane. No way in this hell scape could Kamala win 2 presidential elections, even the dominion machines wouldn't vote for her.

1
Meddlesom 1 point ago +1 / -0

We don't have elections. We have selections. The uniparty selected her once, they'll select her again.

1
ArcOfAmbition 1 point ago +1 / -0

Kamala is the easier target to impeach though.

0
Meddlesom 0 points ago +1 / -1

2
BloodyWolf 2 points ago +2 / -0

Normies have the same use as kindling does. It isn't much value unless there are other things there.

5
TrumpLandslideWon202 5 points ago +5 / -0

Doesn't that take a supermajority in the Senate? So 66 votes I believe? Not likely.

6
giantrabbit1 [S] 6 points ago +6 / -0

Yes it does. Takes 2/3 in the Senate to remove. So it won't be happening.

4
ArcOfAmbition 4 points ago +4 / -0

It could. Don't rule out anything. But I would say, we need to consider who we get stuck with if we remove.

1
TrumpLandslideWon202 1 point ago +1 / -0

Line of succession is Heels Up and then Nancy isn't it? I doubt we'd see any change at all in the policies and rhetoric.

6
anonymousdonor 6 points ago +6 / -0

One would think that after what Trump went through people would know what it takes to be impeached.

1
TrumpLandslideWon202 1 point ago +1 / -0

Yup, that's how I learned a lot more about the process.

4
krog 4 points ago +4 / -0

I think they mean impeached in the same way that Trump and Clinton were, as in technically, but not really.

3
Icepck 3 points ago +3 / -0

Impeachment is just an indictment by the house. He wouldn't have the votes to be removed from office by the senate, but just like President Trump, Clinton, etc he could end up with an Impeachment on his record.

4
TrumpLandslideWon202 4 points ago +4 / -0

Does that being on a record even mean anything anymore? Trump had 3. To me it's just a bullshit farce at this point.

4
Icepck 4 points ago +4 / -0

Oh, I hear you! It is all meaningless, and history will only be taught by whoever controls the schools. But giving up isn't going to do any good. Go through the legal processes the way President Trump did, so well that they couldn't find any dirt from his pre-presidential life I might add, and continue to look outside the legal system for solutions to society, like Project Veritas is doing. Every thing we can do to expose the left is a tool in our toolbox to fix the propaganda machine.

1
Ed_Ward 1 point ago +3 / -2

They're not counting the independent members of the House, who are basically Democrats anyway.

1
giantrabbit1 [S] 1 point ago +3 / -2

With a 218-212 split, it means that if more than 2 Dems vote no on a bill, it will fail.

  • 1 Dem votes no: 217Y-213N; bill passes.
  • 2 Dems vote no: 216Y-214N; bill passes.
  • 3 Dems vote no: 215Y-215N; bill fails.

So no more than 2 people can defect on a bill or it fails. Of course this math assumes all Republicans will vote no.

Thanks. I had the same question but forgot about the subtraction being an addition on the other side. So obvious!

The Republicans should have run great candidates and poured money in to them them a run

fuckfortysix 22 points ago +23 / -1

I'd like to see a printout of the RNC/DNC contributions/cash on hand because the left is acting fascistic, while the right betrayed their entire base and still haven't landed a single political blow against their influence/alienating of REAL AMERICANS WHO PAY TAXES AND LOVE THIS ROCK. So with that I'd assume the lefts coffers are overflowing and the rights well, aren't....

anonymousdonor 13 points ago +13 / -0

What the republicans should have done is fight ballot harvesting. We had a preview in 2018.

1
ArcOfAmbition 1 point ago +1 / -0

At state levels. We have done a lot since then. In fact SCOTUS awarded us wins against the Democrat universal mail in voting.

2
anonymousdonor 2 points ago +2 / -0

They did jack shit for 2020. Counting on the supreme court is not an option.

1
ArcOfAmbition 1 point ago +1 / -0

Agree.

1
Bucksalty 1 point ago +1 / -0

But they just announced legislation for 4 more justices! More judges = More efficient courts right? Confirming a more diverse group of judges will give different viewpoints as well, making such stronger courts!! Election fraud on any side of the isle in future elections will be investigated and prosecuted!! Now let me put my mask back on before anyone sees me...

KornHoLi0 28 points ago +28 / -0

Not quite! Republican Chris Smith of the Socialist Republic of New Jersey will happily vote with the democrats, as he has done consistently in 2021.

Don’t forget those 2 new “Republicans” elected in Miami Dade

2

The only one I trust in Miami Dade is Horatio Caine.

Yeeaaaahhhhhh.

16
ObamakilledJoan 16 points ago +17 / -1

Epoch Times just released a story saying its 212-218

19
somethingnew 19 points ago +21 / -2

Same here. The headline is slightly misleading/worded in a deceptive way. The article is saying that if more than 2 dems vote "no", and all Rs vote "no", then the bill would get defeated in the house because a tie can't be broken in the house.

Essentially 2+ means >= 3, so 215-215 tie vote.

KonyHawk_ProSlaver 7 points ago +8 / -1

Do the math. If 3 votes flip, it's a 215-215 tie.

MerlynTrump 11 points ago +11 / -0

House Dem majority is currently 218 with 212 Reps, so it's a six seat majority. If 2 Dems vote with all 212 Reps, we get 216-214, that's what's meant by 'two vote majority". I takes three to switch sides to get a 215-215 tie (which means the bill fails).

But Dems will gain an extra seat after April 24th runoff in Lousiana (both finalists are Dem, it's one of those "jungle primary" states).

11
zooty 11 points ago +11 / -0

It's all horse-traded anyway. Votes are close because pols are allowed to vote against the majority to please folks "back home".

7
vongregormench 7 points ago +7 / -0

Nope. Those 2 defected because their votes didn’t matter to pass. Now they’ll be strong armed by the party.

7
ravioli_king 7 points ago +7 / -0

May 2022 be even better if Democrats stay on this harmful rhetoric. Maybe the twist in 2 years will be they too start screaming "law and order!!!" "Build dat whaul!" "I'm peach Xiden!"

2
spelunking_librator 2 points ago +2 / -0

they'll do that just to steal the election and go back to normal

Uniparty Bullshit it doesn't matter honestly.

Tom Malinowski did not win his seat in NJ. It was a screwjob. But nobody cares to look at NJ since the democrats always "win" the president and senate votes

1
Bucksalty 1 point ago +1 / -0

Same here in NY! Its such a clown show, and so blatantly obvious right in front of our eyes but since its been so deeply corrupt for so long, not one thing will happen.

5
YourOwnGreatGrandma 5 points ago +5 / -0

REMINDER: Shills here are going to pivot from “Republicans can never win another election” to “republcians won elections, but who cares!”

Deport demoralizing shills

4
KonyHawk_ProSlaver 4 points ago +4 / -0

Democrats have always been much better at whipping votes than Republicans. This is nice for 2022 but not significant until then.

3
Global_Tornado 3 points ago +3 / -0

If a couple democrats go to jail or get killed for getting caught in their usual child-raping, that lead will be gone.

1

They're scared of Nancy.

1
BloodyWolf 1 point ago +1 / -0

Why? Is she just that unpleasant?

4
upvote 4 points ago +5 / -1

This story is so fucked up—their majority did not shrink to two seats. The story should say they can lose no more than two votes, if they lose three votes to the other side (assuming the other side votes against 100%) then it will be a tie and the legislation will not pass.

3
VonTyger 3 points ago +3 / -0

Totally normal for Democrats to win the Senate but come this close to winning the house, when the Senate is by states and the House is proportional.

3
South_Florida_Guy 3 points ago +3 / -0

If we had a REAL election the GOP would have a supermajority.

3
Scumbag-reddit 3 points ago +3 / -0

3

NICE! Let's win the rest of the special elections this year!

2

Time to investigate ALL DemocRAT Congressmen for any and all offenses and get one or two more indicted on charges.

3
Redpill-notCommieRed 3 points ago +3 / -0

Taking the House would stop so much of the left's stranglehold on DC. Having them walk a tight rope is nice but we need the majority in the House back!

2
JustHereForTheSalmon 2 points ago +2 / -0

Alternative subtitle: 2 remaining Democrat Congressmen still consider themselves Americans first, and will soon be unseated by the crazy socialist wing.

2
Omgwtfbbq 2 points ago +2 / -0

Aww too bad so sad. Texas is going to bring us the house. A border state tx dem retired because it was likely he’d lose with redistricting. Hit the dems hard on lockdowns, critical race theory, and immigration.

I want to see that bitch (Pelosi) have her world turned up-side down and a chocolate nut bar shoved up her ass!

2

We need those and senate seats back. Then, impeach Biden, Harris, Pelosi, Schumer, literally every Demokkkrat. Impeach them all. GOP needs to grow some fucking nuts.

2
PapaPepe 2 points ago +2 / -0

There are at least 10 regular swamp rats in the GOP now that vote for whatever the dems want

2

Holy hell did my state of Louisiana actually do something right for once ?

2

The 2 defects will turn. Either by bribes or threats. They are Democrats, all they care about is money and power.

2

WHY WONT PELOSI DIE?!!??

2
No_name_iii 2 points ago +2 / -0

The advantage of democrats in the house shrank by two, but did not decrease to just two. They have a six seat advantage.

1

...wait , what?

When did all this take place?

Wasn't the House majority gain from 2018 like 30 seats or something ridiculous after they kept ballot harvest stealing elections in republican areas in CA?

1
Jojotherab 1 point ago +1 / -0

Listen. There's a ton of fucking haters here and naysayers and negative nancys piglosis. I don't give a fuck what anybody says. It's time to get serious. Fight, or perish. A republican leaning seat? Put up the best fucking candidate Mr. West. A blue seat in Ohio? Time to get to work. Sit your fat bottom down and get the fuck to work. Time to win.
