Basic question for someone like this.. Why do you think people continue to vote for Democrats for decades hoping something will change when it just seems like things get worse? Look at Minneapolis, everyone complains about the police and systemic racism in Minneapolis and yet Democrats have run the city for 50 years. At some point people need to stop supporting people that demonstrably have done nothing to make things better.
My only plausible guess is Democrats have been systemically brainwashed the last half century into thinking that Republicans are far, far worse because they’re perceived as “racists”, etc, etc. I have relatives who live in the suburbs of the Twin Cities and are the staunchest of Democrats. They do well financially and given they’ve been Dems all their lives, they pretty much keep themselves in their little political bubble. Would take a lot to red pill and change the thinking of people like that, IMO.
Not everyone pays attention to politics, and that's putting it lightly. ~1/3 of our people don't even vote period. I'd guess 90% of the people spouting off are just regurgitating (its never been easier to do that with social media and phones) and have done absolutely no research into it themselves. Being informed is a task to complete that takes effort. That's too much for most. It's why we rot.
As long as it does not affect them financially, they will continue voting like assholes for the DemonRat, they will open their eyes when their finances are affected.
My mother was confused why some states/towns are open n others like phila are still closed. I said Republicans states n towns are open n Democrat run cities n states are closed. She didn’t like that answer!
I made progress with a usually implacable leftist when I sent her a story about how the Dems are bringing in high powered lawyers to squash an audit. She could apply Occam's razor and determine for herself the reason they were doing it, and later she just walked up, looked me in the eye and expressed her view on how voting is sacred and should be transparent. That’s not hard to achieve. For several reasons. Not only is it a relatively small number, but it’s particularly easy because most black people are religious. You educate them that democrats are anti God, then that’s pretty much the end.
