Kimberly Potter accidently shoots a felon and she will be prosecuted and possibly go to prison that way things are today.
Ashli Babbitt gets shot/murdered by a Congress person (unknown) and the person will face no prosecution.
Shhh! Nothing to see here. Move on.

Ashli's killer is David Jason Bailey, capitol police security. An active member of BLM extremist groups.
"accidentally shoots a felon"...boy is that a whitewashing
He had a warrant out for aggravated assault from trying to rob a woman with a gun. Felony. He fought with the police. She thought she had her taser.
That's false, Ashli was shot as she broke into the Capitol, and then further tried to break into yet another secure room.
I would probably shoot someone breaking into my property, you?

Your logic if flawed.
Ashli was unarmed, and trying to crawl through a broken window. They (the multiple people on the other side) could have arrested her and taken her into custody on the spot, but someone chose to outright murder her.
Kimberly made a tragic mistake and should face the consequences of that action.
I would likely pull my weapon on someone entering my property but I would not be fast to shoot an unarmed person. I will leave that up to you.
How was the guy supposed to know she was unarmed? You must honor the threat. Tactically, she kept coming after she knew she was being targeted by armed officers behind her and in front of her who were telling her to stop or they'd fire. Yet she kept coming, so they had to honor the threat because any sane person who is not on a suicide mission WOULD stop rather than be shot.
He had no way to know she was unarmed, she acted as though she did not care if she would be shot just as long as she was able to ingress. So, as the officer, you have to wonder... WHY is she willing to die to get in here?
Tragic but he was honoring the threat SHE posed with her concerted efforts to keep coming despite it being a mortal situation. She chose death instead of life.
My Nephew was there, he and his Wife were sprayed at the fence line. He saw BLM terrorists or antifas tearing down the fences while other BLM terrorists or antifas were egging the crowd on from the back with bullhorns. As the first fence pieces were taken down he and she were sprayed, they then began leaving but it took them a while fighting upstream in the crowd. They got clear of the crowd and got milk for their eyes and then just left, went back to the train and to Baltimore where they had flown in.
They were attacked a couple times and harassed a lot by herds of 'people' along the way, on the trains and at the airport too, they said.
While they were there and trying to get out of the crowd they saw the cops open 'some' fences for 'some' people who he says were not 'us', they were BLM terrorists or antifas, he says. He saw BLM terrorists fighting cops and throwing smoke bombs and using sprays, urging others to violences and riot.
Okay, my point in all that is, he and his Wife left, they are in their 20s but wise enough to LEAVE when the criminal activity started. They did not cross the fence line or riot, they participated in Peaceful Protest.
Ashli should not have acted as she did, she should have chosen Life, as did my Nephew and Niece.

That's a lie. The protesters at the capitol building were allowed in by police and then guided to the places that would make good photos.
