IDK man, Bill Nye is even worse.

EDIT: Subtext: Neil is also 'just an actor' with three more letters to his name.

They are both retarded shills.

pushbackv2 110 points ago +110 / -0

Shills, hucksters, grifters and faggots. Truly the left's version of the Renaissance Man.

63
Numaeus 63 points ago +64 / -1

More like the Reeeeenaissance Man.

I think Tyson is actually well educated in his field of science. I also think he's surrounded by so many yes men that he likes the smell of his own farts and actually thinks that everything he has to say on any topic is more valid then what anyone else has to say.

SPEZ: I changed my opinion on him being smart.

126
magastrophysicist 126 points ago +126 / -0

I would disagree with that he is very smart in his field. Only four of his first-author papers have more than four citations, and all were written before 1994.

I published a tiny paper two months ago that was cited seven times in the first two weeks...

Neil deDouchebag was a run of the mill astrophysicist and quickly gave up on the field when it became clear that he would never really publish anything of value.

Now he is a "science communicator" -- generally a "field" held by women and incompetent scientists.

A scientist is already a science communicator by nature, so to be only a "science communicator" means that you enjoy being the smartest person in the room and the smell of your own farts.

Sincerely,

Your local based astrophysicist

Tyson left hard science to take a job schmoozing with the elite to get donations for the Hayden - a good job, as the Hayden does a lot for science literacy and encouraging kids to get into science. But NDT has his head jammed so far up his ass these days he's beyond insufferable. He used to be entertaining when he'd go on Rogan and blow up Rogan's peanut brain with science trivia, but these days he's just an arrogant prick who slimed his way into the elite's dining room through the back door, and now thinks he can dictate to people how they should think. The comment the Steak-umms account responded to was ridiculous, coming from a self-proclaimed man of science. I personally think Steak-ums are disgusting, but I completely respect what they're doing on Twitter.

Brian May, the guitarist of Queen, is a Ph.D in Astrophysics and his thesis is more accomplished than anything NDT has published. I mean, come on. Go back to your wine and cheese parties for the elites in the Hamptons and kiss their asses to sign a check, Neil. It's what you're good at, not science.

19
FireannDireach 19 points ago +19 / -0

Self proclaimed "science communicator". He's trying to copy the work of Carl Sagan, but his arrogance and narcissism make it impossible to reach the value Sagan had. Neil's version of Cosmos was embarrassing.

His job is kissing rich people's asses to sign checks for the Hayden.

14
DylanPetrodollar 14 points ago +14 / -0

I feel like Fauci is also a "Science Communicator". If he is a scientist, he is of the mad/evil variety

13
DrBJTester 13 points ago +13 / -0

Getting a PhD even with an affirmative action assist is impressive. Doing unique work contributing something to the base of knowledge in physics; that's another step up the big brain ladder that a lot of really smart people don't make. They may spend their life chasing a flawed hypothesis. That is science we don't know, what we don't know.

Neil is a phartblossom surrounded by Yes Men and people trying to virtue signal. I believe he's smart enough to know he's full of shit and doesn't care as long as there's a paycheck. The worst part is he's much more interested in being famous than doing any science or even promoting science as a philosophy.

He's the worst kind of liar. A lot of people would call him a whore; but prostitutes actually provide value for money and a valuable community service. He's a turd circling the punchbowl of life.

Forgotmypass666 10 points ago +10 / -0

Oh okay. I didn't know that.

How about I ammend that to well educated in his field of science instead of smart?

19
GizzardPuke 19 points ago +19 / -0

He has clowned himself so many times, remember when he said the star wars bots had to be CGI because science..........WRONG. There is a fucking litany of foot in mouth with this "Climate Change" sellout science denier.

14
DylanPetrodollar 14 points ago +14 / -0

Remember when he explained to Joe Rogan that the bricks in his wall were not real? That was one of the cringiest things I've ever seen. He actuallly got up to feel them when Joe said he was wrong. It was like he couldn't believe he was wrong. Also, he went on and on about why he doesn't use a cell phone case and how it is like a gun and without the case, you are more careful with it as he proceeds to spin it around in his hand. The real reason he doesn't use a case is because he can afford to buy a new one every day. Also, he was accused of inappropriate touching by a girl whose arm he had grabbed without asking to look at a tatoo. That should qualify him for cancellation under the left's insane rules but he is exempt from the rules. I suppose 'some animals are more equal than others' after all.

Forgotmypass666 6 points ago +6 / -0

I don't know about that, but I'm not Suprised.

4
funnyguy1 4 points ago +4 / -0

Aren't all these science celebrities egomaniacs.

8
IG_Farben 8 points ago +8 / -0

He's the head of the Hayden Planetarium, but thinks he's the head of the Planet.

1
magastrophysicist 1 point ago +1 / -0

Most accurate sentence about Neil ever written.

5
Juicebusters 5 points ago +6 / -1

If you've ever seen the old Eddie Murphy film 'Trading Places' it's something like that. Some old white leftist types wanted to see if they could demonstrate their power and find themselves a poor black kid and bet on whether they could make him a legit esteemed science guy. A 20 year long social experiment by some disgusting fucks.

BlueKentuckyGirl 5 points ago +5 / -0

Interesting

5
Mother_of_gains 5 points ago +5 / -0

I mean, there's a reason he got booted from his first PHD program.

3
1st_Covfefe 3 points ago +3 / -0

I cant help but wonder if he's ever been to a party on Epsteins Island.

6
Clean_Pinch 6 points ago +6 / -0

I remember listening to Neil 15 or so years ago, he was on opie and Anthony several times. He wasnt always like this. The left and tptb seem to have an endless bank account and influence over everything

4
FireannDireach 4 points ago +4 / -0

If you watch his first appearance on Joe Rogan, to his last one, it's two completely different people.

3
A1waysLurk1ing 3 points ago +3 / -0

Tyson is far from a retard, but he's definitely a shill for the controllers.

They power has clearly gone to his head, as he's forgotten his roots (the basics).

44
REDMARAUDER 44 points ago +46 / -2

Bill Nye isn't even a scientist

30
Isolated_Patriot 30 points ago +30 / -0

Neil is as much a scientist as Jill Biden is a doctor.

16
sleepingbeautyc 16 points ago +16 / -0

I think he is a Mechanical engineer.

16
WU_HAN_FRU 16 points ago +16 / -0

TV host who says whatever the 'prompter tells him to say.

8
electioninfection 8 points ago +8 / -0

He was an ensemble actor on a local comedy skit series based in Seattle back in the 1990s. So, yeah.

14
ProphetOfKek 14 points ago +14 / -0

More like a propaganda engineer.

6
BigHandsome91 6 points ago +6 / -0

He couldn't cut it as an engineer though which is why he is a TV man.

2
Mashiki 2 points ago +2 / -0

Considering the state of today's mechanical engineering students, he'd likely be the genius in the room.

3
DylanPetrodollar 3 points ago +3 / -0

He has a bachelors in it I believe

1
becky21k1 1 point ago +1 / -0

Bill Nye was a successful young engineer who even invented a part used on planes, but he burned out early and could not repeat his success.

So he invented the "science guy" bit as a stand-up comedy routine and it was successful enough to get him on TV, and you know the rest.

but but but mUh Tv ShOw i WaTcHEd wHeN i Wuz a KiD . . . . . reeeeeeeee

logan34 8 points ago +8 / -0

That show from the 90s wasn't bad. Actual solid science show for kids. Can you imagine the shitshow if it was made today? Half the programs would be about chosing genders, pushing critical race theory garbage and leftist commie propaganda.

7
BuddySections 7 points ago +7 / -0

Is this a joke? Because they did remake it today and it was exactly that the whole time.

5
ancroidubh 5 points ago +6 / -1

William S. Nye has a BSME from Cornell University.

1
becky21k1 1 point ago +1 / -0

Clearly heavy on the BS

1
DylanPetrodollar 1 point ago +1 / -0

He started out on a little known comedy sketch show. That is where he created his character.

26
PieceOfParchment7 26 points ago +27 / -1

Bill Nye is not a scientist.

He is an actor.

2

He was so stern

5
Formerlurker92 5 points ago +6 / -1

Pretty good one too based on how many people he has fooled

11
VenusDe 11 points ago +11 / -0

Lefties WANT to be lied to.

So not that good.

4
PieceOfParchment7 4 points ago +4 / -0

People are easily fooled.

4
sordfysh 4 points ago +4 / -0

People will believe anyone is a scientist if they are WASPy and put on a white lab coat. Under the right conditions, about 2/3 of the population will carry out commands of the scientist akin to someone under hypnosis.

See the Milgram Experiment.

Nothing is different between the people of the Wiemar Republic and the people of the USA. They make science their idol, and then are surprised that they end up goose-stepping to the popular ideas of the day.

2
DylanPetrodollar 2 points ago +2 / -0

Well it's not exactly programming made for Sherlock Holmes types

3
Formerlurker92 3 points ago +3 / -0

True. I guess I did watch it in elementary public schools

If you go to university and study marine biology but get a job as a baker, you are not a marine biologist.

-2
ancroidubh -2 points ago +1 / -3

William S. Nye has a BSME from Cornell University. He worked for Boeing as an engineer and invented an hydraulic resonance damper.

8
PieceOfParchment7 8 points ago +8 / -0

He's a scientist like your local waitress is an actress.

Bill Nye was born on November 27, 1955 in Washington, District of Columbia, USA as William Sanford Nye. He is an actor and writer, known for Bill Nye, the Science Guy (1993), Flubber (1997) and Stargate: Atlantis (2004). He was previously married to Blair Tindall.

Ridiculous...

5

I watched an episode of Stargate Atlantis the other day and they were both in it playing themselves at a science conference full of real scientists and everyone was acting like they belonged there.

3
Isolated_Patriot 3 points ago +3 / -0

Pretty sure I remember that. It was a "secret super science" conference too.
