Not getting to be dominant in literally every situation they find themselves in seems to be something they simply can’t cope with.

One of the defining features of America is that the state does NOT have a monopoly on the use of force.
You’re right but I was thinking in the narrow terms of legal day to day affairs excluding self defence.
