The kids are dumb minors with more 'feels' than facts.. The 200+ pound armed adults have no excuse for their blatant stupidity.

Instead of being adults and either letting it go, or using this as a teaching moment. Instead, they chose to be Bullies. Thereby enforcing the image that the "dumb kids" had the right idea to begin with.
