Hi! Minnesota Pede here. I lived in Minneapolis for most of my life and noped out about two years ago. I still have lots of friends and family there.
What's mostly happening is stores with pharmacies and liquor stores are being looted. Look, no one is really going after the local sewing store or the printing business. They're hitting places where addicts know they can get a fix or big retail stores. People sincerely believe it's okay to loot a Target because "insurance covers everything" slogan. Also, the first night of rioting, the people of Brooklyn Center were totally unprepared. They didn't think they'd be hit.
I hate to say it, but given how crazy Minneapolis/St.Paul are right now, any place that has above a 10% black population is a place in which a riot or looting may take place. These people are kidding themselves if they think the inner ring suburbs are safe. Most of them are deteriorated shells of what they once were.
Oh, I have no love for Target. I stopped shopping at Target when they decided to allow men into women's restrooms and dressing rooms. However, Target has pharmacies and pharmacies have drugs and the hood likes drugs.
yeah, well, screaming racism is just a thing now. It doesn't matter if it's true, false or whatever, it's just screamed at everything all the time for no reason. The left starts with this principle, everything is racist and white people are completely, unalterably and unforgiveable racist all day long, every day, in every way and cannot be anything but racist. That's not something the left argues to, or even attempts to defend. In fact, in Critical Race Theory, they say arguing against that first principle, itself, is a sign of being irredeemably and hopelessly racist. The left just takes it as a given, as if it were the word of god, that every single white person must be a racist in everything, all the time, even a white ally is a racist, 100% in every way, even in being an ally, a white is a racist. So yeah, I can't breathe is just a substitute for "you're racist" in the new lefty speak.
My wife used to give me shit for slowly extracting our family out of Philadelphia. Now we are a good hour away and both changed jobs out of the city and life's been exponentially better.
My life has gotten so much better since leaving MPLS. I really didn't know how big a role living in MPLS had in affecting my mental health until I left the city. It's like everyone in the family is a totally new person. I even started going to Church again and found a great faith community. I talk to my neighbors and love knowing about half the town now.

It's okay to loot Target. When you go in there it's like a corporate tribute to BLM. I hope they get ransacked

Until they're getting arrested... then it's "I can't breathe!!!"
