As a non religious person I would strongly disagree. Religion is what allowed people to build a society. Are there problems with organized religion, sure, huge ones in some religion. But to believe humans with no regard for other people lives, property, happiness would be further ahead than humans are now is a huge leap of faith in humans, almost a religious belief in itself.
You can keep maturing. The intellectual teen years don't have to be where you stop growing. Anyway good luck on passing your Lotus Land Test. I spent alot of time there but can confirm the journey gets far more glorious when you choose to take up the quest for Truth again.
I like how you ignored my post and continued trying to argue this point
Wars, death, and human abuse happen with or without religion because depravity is embedded in human nature. The most recognizable wars in all of history for their size and scope, obviously World War I and II, were not fought over religion and numbered among the highest kill counts in history for any war
Here is just a small sampling of deaths that were not attributable to religion:
World War I, over an assassination due to national boundaries: ~22,000,000
World War II, over national boundaries once again: ~60,000,000
Russian Civil War, over political differences: ~7,000,000
Three Kingdoms War, over political concerns: ~40,000,000
Chinese Civil War, ROC vs PRC, political concerns: ~10,000,000
Manchu conquest of China, over treaty violations: ~25,000,000
Napoleonic Wars, for the sake of conquest: ~5,000,000
Holodomor, manufactured famine, over ethnicity: ~4,000,000
The Great Purge (USSR), godless communism: ~1,000,000
Manufactured Kazakh famine, over ethnicity: ~2,000,000
Punic Wars, for the sake of conquest: ~1,500,000
Cambodian Genocide: ~2,500,000
Great Chinese famine, for an atheist 'communist paradise': ~50,000,000
Total just for the above: 230,000,000 deaths not for religion at all
Your problem is that something happened in your past to turn you against all religion and now you're trying to assign any negatives to it to justify your current beliefs. The fact is that some humans particularly seem to enjoy killing eachother. For any reason at all. Christianity is the odd ball out of the entire equation because it tells us NOT to indulge in what is plainly human nature.
Furthermore, it doesn't take a genius to realize World War 3 is right around the corner. It also doesn't take a genius to realize it will be the single most destructive and possibly world-ending event in all of human history. I can also guarantee nobody's mentioning religion as their reasoning for it, either.
Maybe you'll ignore me again, or perhaps not, but I hope you'll atleast concede this one point.
Just going to throw this out there: We would literally be colonizing other planets today if Religion was never invented.
If Religion is your thing, great... you be you.
For me, I believe that the world would ultimately be a better place without any Religions.
Totally! People should take a hint from you and read up on modern China and the USSR, the world's best examples of areligious societies.
Hahah yes, thank you

There’s no such thing as no religion. There’s only freedom of religion or enforced mysticism. Superstition and faith are bound to the human condition.
"Condition" (You said it, not me)
“the state in which an object or person exists”

I was raised Roman Catholic, and am over 50 years old. I am currently agnostic and starting to lean atheist.
Organized Religion is and always has been a scourge on humanity. How many deaths have been attributed to Religions over the millennia?
Here is just a small sampling:
Total just for the above: 195,035,000 deaths in the name of religion.
