As my grandfather immigrated (LEGALLY) in the 1950s, and this is provable, how is it that I would be liable for these things. Also, there was a war, hundreds of thousands of American soldiers gave their lives. This was for many reasons, very complicated. However, one of the results of this war was that slavery was ended. Did not the soldiers pay this debt in blood? Did not the mothers mourn the loss of young sons for such a cause as to liberate imported forced laborers?
