Hey guys! I totally ripped off Gab and am going to implement more rules that doesn't allow dirty words!

  • Mike Lindell, probably.

I mean, he takes his religion and morals seriously. So we shit on him for it? Or are we now the left, trying to cancel everything?

No. I respect his right to religion and morals. But I'm going to shit on him for being a hypocrite. Conservatives are banned for saying the wrong words on Twatter. And everyone will be banned for saying the wrong words on this rip off of Gab?

If he's willing to censor language that he doesn't like, that means he will be more likely to censor opinions he doesn't like in the future. Remember, Reddit, Twitter, and Facebook all started out as "bastions of free speech" and now look at them.

Gab (Torba) has stuck to the universal truth that if you censor anything besides illegal content, you'll censor other things too.

But, we don't need a rip off. We need another twitter or something along those lines. Gab is Facebook, so make a conservative twitter.

Everyone wants to be the next twitter when twitter, in fact, is meant to elevate certain personalities into a priesthood while having the common Joe near-voiceless.

If they want to do a twitter clone they have to have forum functionality built in. None of these guys get it though they just think "conservative twitter" as if that solves the problem.

Plus the religious nonsense built into the rules shows they really underestimate the modern right. Maybe Jesus got Lindell off the crack pipe but we're not all Jesus freaks.

Yeah, also, Torba:

“They (Kushner & co) said that they were in ‘make money mode’ and were focused on how they could financially benefit from Gab and change our free speech stance,” Torba told Pedro Gonzalez of Contra.

All I wanted to do was give the president his voice back, but Kushner and others in the president’s orbit expected me to hand the keys to the kingdom over to them and change the core mission of Gab,” Torba added. “I wasn’t going to let that happen.”

I've never trusted Torba.

WTF? Kushner was trying to purchase Gab and then implement the very censorship he is fighting against.

Torba was in the right.

"WTF? Kushner was trying to purchase Gab and then implement the very censorship he is fighting against."

What, you're just throwing this like this? Where's your proof? Don't tell me what Torba said, I know what he's been saying ever since Donald Trump's account was suspended from Twitter. He was too expansive, I repeat, I never trusted him. That's why I'm not on Gab. Impatiently waiting for Frank.

You're not clear on your lack of trust of Torba. How has he been too expansive?

From the very beginning, ever since Trump got thrown off Twitter, he posted quite a few messages that were exactly lined up with what all of us had been saying (things he were not saying before) - you'll probably have to go back to Jan the 7th to see them on his account. It was as if he had understood what we wanted to hear and was wording us perfectly well. Now, I'm not against people doing business, and getting known and being successful and adapting themselves, etc, but he was really just using our lingo, mirroring us perfectly well. As I said, I don't trust him, and you can't always explain lack of trust perfectly well - I certainly can't now. You have to read his tweets, or whatever he calls them, to understand. Also, I think there may be a problem with confidentiality on Gab.

Thanks for explaining.

I respect your thoughts.

You should probably not trust Kushner way more than you don’t trust Torba. His old man’s connection to McGreevy and the underbelly of Jersey politics makes biden look like a piker.

I trust Donald Trump, and people (including Torba) have constantly been insinuating that Trump couldn't do this or this because of Kushner. I believe that Trump does do - and can do - whatever he likes.

Trump is old and doesn't understand the internet much other than the usage of twitter. He thinks Kushner does because Kushner is young and he trusts Kushner. Kushner has repeatedly demonstrated that his ideas are not all that great at least compared to a better thinker like Bannon (say what you will about Bannon but the Trump administration was at its best during his position on the NSC).

Kushner is probably a good husband to Ivanka but his ideas are based around "does this let me into the socialite parties?" too much and he's too far removed from the average working American to really have a clue.

Torba has his problems too (try making a parody account of him on gab and see how long that lasts) but he's at least put himself in a position of danger and pariah status, something that Kushner doesn't have the balls to do.
