I just booked a sleeper train for our family to go from Melbourne to Sydney in July, found out they won’t let us share a cabin because of “social distancing”. So we each get a cabin to ourselves, despite the fact that we are a FAMILY from the same household.

Do we even have sleeper trains in America? I would just drive my truck and get a room when I feel the need to get drunk.

I quite wanted to drive up, but my family outvoted me! The sleeper train is actually rather nice - and super convenient, you go from the middle of Melbourne right to the middle of Sydney while you have a good night’s sleep. It’s a good way to travel.

God only knows what you have in America, isn’t Amtrak run by the government? Wasn’t Hunter on the board, and got confirmed because he said he “travels” on a lot of trains?

Dude..As near as I can tell...our trains only run East to West or vice-versa. I do not think a person can take a train from Oregon to Florida. If I am wrong, you can bet someone here will prove it.
