The residents of DC have more say than any else of us in the Country just due to being physically close to members of Congress. They don't need an even greater voice.
DC isn't supposed to be a city anyway. It's supposed to be a neutral ground for both sides to meet, discuss politics, and then head home to their real states. DC is not a home. They no longer serve the people cause they are so disconnected cause they don't need to go back to their states and see the damage they caused.

They can bypass the constitution by making that area of government smaller and declaring it a state. There is no laws against declaring a land mass a state. And they can go past requiring a constitutional amendment. However, DC already gets 3 ECV so they want 3 more. So, if a city state can exist, All States can do the same whereas Texas could make 30 city states for 90 ecv plus the amount they have now currently and that would give them 128 ecv. So fuckery would be afoot across the land. Then, all over the USA, states would do this as well. These leftists do not understand cause and effect or effective leadership or what happens if you FAFO and use their tactics against them. These AG in the states are gonna be damn busy.

The constitution says 10 miles square (meaning 100 square miles) for the establishment of the capital district. I would bet the argument is made that this is not a constitutional amendment and they try to reinterpret the meaning to be 10 square miles, where everything else can be outside of the constitutionally defined range.
