just trying to make the next best purchase. my friend is telling me to get a .308 due to being able to touch targets at a further distance, but ive also heard its similar to a 7.62 if im not mistaken. is there a happy medium? furthest distance and most damage? another reason i went for a 556 model was due to it being the most common ammunition in north america, making it easier to find or acquire when SHTF
