Because the mistake wasn't that she accidently grabbed the gun instead of the taser, its that when she needed to shoot she yelled out taser.

On top of that the knew he was armed; of course she was going for her gun. I think she just yelled out taser instead; likely due to training but 100% pulled her gun early on because he was wanted for armed robbery...
