But later the striking symbolic parallels with ancient and classical depictions of valor, virtue, and liberty became clear. From Grecian depictions of the mythical Amazon female warriors, to classic American depictions of Liberty with an exposed breast, or of the Goddess of Virtue with an exposed breast. Or later, the French's depiction of Marianne and Delacroix's "Liberty Leading the People."
It's awful what they did to her. May she rest in peace, and may her spirit be recalled for generations.
No idea why, but I didn’t see that or hear about it at the time. If she was shot in the neck, how would her breast even become exposed? No bra even covering her? That’s weird & unlikely.
