I'm curious, they say she is a 20+ year veteran of the department, but was she a patrol/street/arresting officer or was she one of the background/admin officers they likely dragged into active policing because they lost so many officers?
If the latter, that's a pretty fucked up situation to put someone in and then throw them under the bus when the inevitable happens.

i think she was an old street cop vet that was doing TO jobs for recruits.... which makes it even more sad...
