I think Putin and Xi have a lot more in common than people here would like to admit. If you want to know about Russia.... ask an Eastern European.

What would an eastern european know of a Russian president that has never had any influence on their country other than be part of their "enemy"? Eastern Europeans know of communism and how bad Soviet Russia was before the USSR fell, their opinion on Putin will be equal to what their local MSM pushes their anti russia narrative.

As far as I can tell the only Russians that feel oppressed are gay and muslim russians. Finally if we take the U.S. with it's advancements for gay people I wouldn't be surprised if gays here feel equally as oppressed as gays in Russia.

What are you talking about? It isn’t just communism. Putin still exerts influence and control on post soviet countries, and Russians cry about not having that control anymore. They cry about post soviet countries changing their alphabet to non Cyrillic and claim it’s “russophobic.” They we’re mad and crying that Poland was removing Stalin statues. Russia also has enough power to do things by force, like destroy natural rivers and lakes of neighboring countries. That’s why almost all post soviet countries hate the Russian government and many of its people, because they bully you and then cry victim. They’re the perfect example of crybullies.

Not to mention, Russians come to live in post soviet countries, then refuse to learn the local language, always vote in the interests of Russia instead of the country they’re living in, and refuse to assimilate. They’re exactly the type of immigrant that we hate here - parasites and a voting bloc that will always be aligned with their country of origin, creating constant tension and conflict.

I really don’t see how you can say people who lived through actual communism are saying that they’re under the same influence as people who watch local MSM - that’s completely absurd.

You should be more concerned currently of american influence (hollywood) than communism.
