A big chunk of Eastern Ukraine are ethnic Russians. That's in play as well.
Don't forget, the Ukrainian regime that Obama's State Department installed after the coup were actual fascists and they did engage in war against ethnic Russians.

Many people here are complete morons when it comes to Russia. I doubt they know that 20% of Russia’s population are Muslims.
