Had a zoom meeting with coworkers yesterday and everyone was taking about getting their second shot. They asked me when I'm getting mine. I said, "don't have to, I had COVID back in Dec 2019 and had the antibody test and it shows I already have the antibodies" They were stunned at the simple logic, my boss said "well you should still think about getting it because it can help with the lifelong side effects." I responded with, "that's great, but I don't have any lasting symptoms, so the vaccine will do nothing for me" there was what seemed like 5 min of silence (really a couple of seconds) and they quickly moved on with the actual meeting.

That said...no vaccine for my family. Gotta keep the real viking blood going strong.

I said this about not wearing a mask for getting on a ski gondola and the dumb-ass lift operator was like that not true you are only protected for 8 weeks. I said oh where did you go to med school to become an epidemiologist, and he shut up it was kinda funny.

There's very few confirmed cases of people catching it twice, and especially rare is that their 2nd infection causes anything but a fraction of their original illness.

There's currently a study being done that started about 7 months ago to measure how long people have the antibodies for and whether or not they can catch it again, so far the answer is 7 months.

They might have tested positive twice. Nobody knows if they got it again. Got it in Mar 2020. No mask since. Never been sick. Been around hundreds of thousands. It’s all bullshit.

Exactly, I'm pretty sure the only cases I've read of 2nd infection were like 2 or 3 weeks apart, very likely just tested positive twice.

Fruit and coca cola have tested positive. Its all bullshit. People kept telling me after March 2020 when I got it that I could get it again. I laughed my ass off and said. If I do just gonna get HCQ like last time no big deal. Never wore a mask. Never ‘got it’ again.

Yeah I have read all of those. Weak science anyway they try to go off of variants anyway otherwise PCR can just picked up shedding of dead nucleotides, not enough to culture an infection. T-Cell immunity suggest it will be good about 7 years before people are vulnerable again. Prior serum demographics from Sars one suggest 17 years for SARS-1

Which makes it even more annoying to read people's stories on here and elsewhere about their doctors or employers or any vaccine-worshippers telling others to get the vaccine even if they've already had Covid, because your immunity only last 3 months or whatever bullshit they're pushing atm.

Yeah exactly. I also had covid and I say would you go get a flu shot after you just had the flu? No vaccine experimental or not beats actual natural immunity. Recent study showed that people with the Pfizer vaccine were 6 times more likely to catch a variant. That is some great evidence. people like my dad who is a conservative was convinced to go get a first dose all of this idea of maybe it will help me from variants. I said Dad that is dumb. All of these vaccines were created of the genome of the January strain anyway so why would that give you better protection than your healed immunity from a more current variation. I also tell people mRNA has been tried for Decades, every time it fails animal models for safety every study in the long term the treatment group has worse outcomes then the placebo. There is 0 evidence to suggest it would be any different in humans. I would like to see that data disprove the prior mammal outcomes before I consider it. Safety has not been established. Safety for recovered individuals has been established. Is it not alright to be concerned about my safety? And people stfu.

SARS back in 2002 was at 17 years or something like that
