Had a zoom meeting with coworkers yesterday and everyone was taking about getting their second shot. They asked me when I'm getting mine. I said, "don't have to, I had COVID back in Dec 2019 and had the antibody test and it shows I already have the antibodies" They were stunned at the simple logic, my boss said "well you should still think about getting it because it can help with the lifelong side effects." I responded with, "that's great, but I don't have any lasting symptoms, so the vaccine will do nothing for me" there was what seemed like 5 min of silence (really a couple of seconds) and they quickly moved on with the actual meeting.
That said...no vaccine for my family. Gotta keep the real viking blood going strong.
I said this about not wearing a mask for getting on a ski gondola and the dumb-ass lift operator was like that not true you are only protected for 8 weeks. I said oh where did you go to med school to become an epidemiologist, and he shut up it was kinda funny.
